Wait...sooooo....wait for it......
The brain that mother nature gave us to become superior hunters, which also gave us the need to entertain ourselves through complex sociological interactions, is artificial?
It is really hard for me to grasp why using tools that we have made with our brain power-the same power mother nature gave us-is wrong. I understand killing for sport with no intent to eat or use for shelter, etc. is really just unnatural...but creating humongous farms to house hundreds of thousands of chickens for food isn't unnatural...it is mother natures way of equipping us with the ability to cope with a large population that has extremely complex sociol positions.
Now all of that is null an void if you think that "we are all divine beings created by God" or in other words, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. In that case...yes, we are held very much responsible for wasting the blessing of Earth and all of its wonders...
Using a gun to kill another animal for food-Natural
Using a gun to kill another animal for a trophy or to say that you did it-unnatural.
Now here's one for you guys:
Is it unnatural to kill an animal with your bare hands in self defense that normally could kill a human?
I don't really see much of a point to this natural - unnatural argument, I fly on aeroplanes, drink beer full of chemical sprays, drive a car etc etc. All of which, following this argument, is unnatural.
The issue should surely be whether killing with a gun for fun, is acceptable, I believe it not to be. Killing for food, as far as I'm concerned is absolutely fine.

Right, yeah, but don't you think this whole discussion's got rather hung up on strange specifics? What I mean is, I don't care if they consider it a fantastic way to inspire poetry, it's needless and that's what I take offense to. I also don't care if they use guns, throwing knives, their hands or enlist in the help of bloody Jackie Chan; it's their motivation for the killing that matters to me, not the weapon used.

I'm not sure where the debate took a detour toward is it morally right or wrong (Subjective anyway) to kill animals in certain ways and what not.I swear this all stemmed from Quiero's comment about natural defenses being enough against a gun.
