People don't hunt trees, rocks or anything that is immobile and unresponsive. Bears can run or fight back.
I didn't know that you loved nature's creature so much.

A) Bears cannot fight a shotgun or a rifle.
B) That's not the point, the point is that you said a bear has "enough" defense because it has claws and teeth, or at least implied this, even if a human has a gun. This turned out to be false, by your own acknowlegement.
C) It's not a matter of love for creatures, it's a matter of you making incorrect statements.

W-what is the argument here. I don't follow. If it is that it is unfair to use firearms against animals......that's stupid, unfair is a totally subjective term, you could just as well claim that it is unfair for a bear to use its claws, but its teeth are alright.
If it is that guns are not natural as in they did not evolve...well...that's trivial?
I'd add that the term "natural" is a total red herring.

No, the point IS how they were obtained, and that as a result, one side has an unfair advantage.Try to read the thread.

Well I'm glad I have someone who's kind enough to scrutinize every little post I make. You should be a tax collector or the editor for a tabloid.
I hope you didn't really believe that I thought guns made the playing field totally equal.
Often times it takes more than one round to put down a 2,000 pound charging bear. A gun isn't a magic wand.

I believe you did mean it, otherwise you'd not have argued the point.

"Fair" is a human construct.
I never denied that the fairness factor was my opinion, my main argument was your silly point that because bears have claws and teeth, they are not helpless against a shotgun or a rifle.

I just can't really understand what you get out of doing that (?)
I mean, do you not ever feel bad about it? After you've taken down that bear?

You were wrong. A gun elevates a person from being just a slow running, soft skinned animal with no natural defenses.

Yeah yeah, I get it, Bardock. We've been there before.I say "Something". You say the opposite. It's old.
Oh, and you've missed the point.

Again, I don't think that's the point. In fact I think your are getting crazy about this one idea, and it is just not correct.
You argue that something is fair or unfair, using your definition, disregarding another one. I did not address the other point...because...I did not form an opinion about it, I just addressed where I disagreed.
Sadly, I have no time to argue about it deeper, just thought I'd make clear that I disagree and why.
