Street Fighter IV

Yes, Ryu does actually have his dashing FP in SF:IV, something that I'm glad he has back, he's also got his overhead attack from ST back as well, however the hopping mk, I don't believe he has that, and sorry to say, but I actually had forgotten about that and didn't try it. However, I really do believe he doesn't sport that attack at all though.

Ryu at this moment sorta feels like a hybrid ST/3S Ryu, I mean, he's got some of his ST qualities, and some 3S qualities, so all in all, he isn't a bad character.

Sorry for double post, but this is breaking news...

SAKURA TO BE RELEASED FOR PS3/360 CONSOLE

Honestly...the girl still looks like she's 16 for crying out loud...I'd of thought that after Alpha and after SFII, she would have grown at least a bit in her figure but damn.

Not to mention her movelist still looks the same too...gah, I'd of hope she'd of looked like her movelist changed through her maturity...however she's still looks exactly no different from Alpha Sakura.

Well, to all the fans who've been craving for her return, here she is.

wow nice.. and yeah..she's lookin a bit too blast from the past ish

but capcom did retexture ryu at the fans' request.. maybe they might make an alternate costume for her where she's the age she's supposed to be now

DAMN, Sakura's in this now. That's a dream come true for many. I think she hasn't age cuz she's not in this game canonly. I think Capcom put her in there cuz the fans REALLY wanted her. I'm satisfied, the game has 20 characters now, that's kind of a alot for the 1st step in a new SF series. The most you would get is 15.

Also, you know there is gonna be a googlplex of different versions of SFIV so get ready, but then again, you got the net now to update videogames plus I think people are alot smarter these days.

This would be a good alternate outfit for Sakura though:

That would be cool. What if Ibuki is in this game? That would be great.

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it 😄 , and as for your questions, I will gladly answer them.

Answer #1: 1-Frame SPD of Doom as I dubbed it (Maybe I shouldn't have dubbed it 1-Frame SPD as it takes more then that), or just the Spinning Pile Driver seemingly is converted back to it's Monster version of the old Street Fighter II style. Basically put, if your strings, pokes and spacing isn't 100% tight, Zangief will get you in the SPD and destroy you. If you see his SPD from SFII in comparison to other versions, it's clearly far more powerful and potent there due to it's range, sheer speed and unpredictability. This is similar in fashion to SF:IV Gief with his SPD, which is why it's so dangerous, and I hope Capcom keeps it this way.

Answer #2: The Parry System negated alot of qualities or strategical values that was in Street Fighter to begin with. It is so powerful that it long range to mid range games are almost obsolete, forcing players to having to play up close with every character regardless of whom they are. This also forced players to having to do moves least likely to get parried, and resulting in alot of random guessing situations more so then strategical situations.

Reasons why you see a bunch of whiffed attacks at close range, high/low mixups and massive throws, all involving close quarters. Limiting character individuality, corner traps and even watering down advantages of character positioning. I really won't go further then that, however just simply put, Parry made for more random situations, hacked character advantages, and forced everyone to having to rushdown, thus limiting how characters could be played.

Answer #3: T4 Jin is Tekken 4 Jin, and O. Sagat is from Super Street Fighter II Turbo called Old Sagat, and he's dubbed Old because he plays more like the older SFII versions of himself, however he can only be selected with input commands at the selection screen.

Tekken 4 Jin is the most overpowered legal tournament character ever within any Tekken game before or since period, nobody and I mean, nobody dominated their game like T4 Jin, not TTT Mishima's, not T3 Ogre or Jin, nor 5.0 Steve ruled like T4 Jin did. While O. Sagat may not be as broke as T4 Jin, he is in his own right a monster, due to his sheer power damage, and most importantly he has the fastest projectiles in the SFII series, even faster then Gouki's own projectile in ST, which made his zoning game one of the most deadly if not the most deadly in ST, then you have this coupled with his damage making him one of the Top 3 best characters in ST.

My reference to these characters is that SF:IV Sagat is not as powerful as these characters in comparison, so the balance in SF:IV thus far is still good, even though SF:IV Sagat is strong.

Oh, okay. Thanks for answering my questions.

SAKURA TO BE RELEASED FOR PS3/360 CONSOLE

YES!!!! I'm so glad that she's in this game. She'll be my main character along with Sagat.

Behold...Sakura FINALLY in action within Street Fighter IV, her voice has been changed, and her music from Alpha 2 has been revamped and upgraded...it simply sounds beautiful. All I have to say is...the screen shots of Sakura do not do her justice at all! Oh my goodness, the way she looks, and moves in SF:IV is just simply unbelievable!

http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/1...49/vids_1.html

Enjoy!

Something's wrong. That link doesn't show anything (or at least, what you were trying to show).

http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/142/14211549/vids_1.html

There, sorry, once it loads, just click on the Sakura trailer and watch and be amazed...the last TGS Trailer is there to, so check that out, it shows a second of Dan! Lmao!

Sakura is looking like she's going to beast...oh my goodness, no joke...obviously just judging from the video, but her BnB's and links, juggles and all look pretty strong at this point, obviously just my opinion for now.

Get Hype for SF:IV Folks, this game is going to rock!

Wow, Sakura is amazing in this game. Although her ultra attack could have been better, she'll still be my main fighter.

It looks to me like she can chain combos together and end wit an ultra...there has to be some kind of catch wit that. Like SFIII style damage reduction. If she remains like how she is in that Vid, I know alot of peeps whose gonna be pickin Sakura and not just cuz like her, cuz they wanna win.

Would you happen to know if the raging demon is linkable in either its super or ultra form?.. I think thats going to be my deciding factor on whether I main Akuma or not.. (cuz if its too easy to avoid I may as well pick someone with a more spammable super art)

Can't wait to see some matches with her.

That goes for me, too. It would be nice if she had an alternate outfit that's completely different from her school uniform.

To be truthful with you Satsu, I barely touched Gouki at all, maybe like...twice, and I'm serious on this too. So far, I don't believe SGS is "comboable" at this point, the SGS I've seen land are when players mess up, or when they whiff attacks.

I've seen obvious opportunities when this one guy tried to SGS me at point blank...however when you sit there and do nothing, you kinda anticipate it. However, SGS works in ways of catching people off guard with it, imo, it'd be pretty crazy if it was comboable.

However, here's a vid of a Gouki player catching a Bison player with SGS in what is like an AA, it's excellent, but from my judgement I think doing it like this will take some timing, because if you mess up, it's ggpo Gouki.

Here's a situation like above, but if you mess up the timing for AA SGS

Here's some other ones showing setups that I feel would work in real time fights, SGS works best when in the heat of battle, again, not when your sitting there.

Cross up into SGS, not comboed but can potentially catch players sleeping

That's all I can really give you so far, I haven't played SF:IV for awhile now sadly 🙁

Oh yes, some more SF:IV News, it was announced at TGS that there will be a Street Fighter IV Anime Movie to be released! It will be done by the animation group known as Studio 4 C, some of their animation pieces are found in the anime dvd pre-release before Dark Knight called Gotham Knight (there two anime pieces in there where 'Have I got a Story for you" and 'Working through Pain' ~ Loved the animation for the second one, it was beautiful!)

That's all I know so far only, sorry I can't give out more info...it's all in japanese, so yeah.

It's crazy, it seems like Capcom is going all out for SF:IV, which I'm glad to see.

well the reason I'd like it to 'grab' a little faster is cuz in games like 3rd strike and CvS2.... it feels like your opponent had all day to evade it, and could really only be snagged if you caught them in neutral position by forcing some block stun string or something

on a side note , I used to tease my friend and make him scared to jump in on me while I was waking up by SGS'ing XD

and ty for the vids.. I shall try to speed up my inputs to be able to use the invulnerability more often

I always thought the SGS in 3rd Strike was kinda cheap. I know cats who would knock somebody outta the air then do it while his opponent was still on the ground makin it "unavoidable". I think it was avoidable, me and my friends just didn't know how.

Here's a good video of Sakura against Dhalsim.

Good find. Wish they could have done more moves but at least she still seem to play good.

And it sure seem like they put alot of detail on her legs.
