Cant wait to use him too, does he play like Akuma/Ryu/Ken or completely different?
Pretty much like them, but his moves have some twists.
Like, his Fireball can be shot at different angles depending on the punch button used, and his dragon punch is horizontal while his hurricane kick is vertical.
He also has some amazing juggle abilities, he can do an EX dragon punch, which launches his opponents into the air, and on the way down hit them with his ultra, which makes it impossible for them to avoid.
Gouken IS beast in this game, when I first saw him play, I felt he could be a contender, however playing him now, he IS a contender. Back throw into Ultra is insanely powerful, safe, and very effective in competitive play.
Whenever Gouken has Ultra, your gameplay changes in fear of him landing it, because he's got efficient options to get it on you. Not to mention your afraid of him getting next to you, which is what Gouken can cause. However he does have some difficulty getting in on characters who have a strong footsie, and zoning game with projectiles like Sagat and Ryu for example, especially when they start mixing it up with Ex-fireballs.

My cousin has the PS3 sorry, also, almost always we never get online for the PS3, since most of the people we play against were at one point competitive at SF. However, whenever I go to my cousins house again to play SF:IV I'll get his online name so anyone who may have a PS3 can bust a few heads with me 😄 .
