Street Fighter IV

heh, the rampant fanboy returns 😂

Sado: Frankly, you think DOA and MKvsDC were good games. So I don't see why we should bother trying to explain the appeal of this game to you.

really? i recall saying very clearly (and many times) that i don't like Mk or DoA that much and are about the only fighting games that i don't follow. MkvsDc, i never even played it....so glue your asscheeks together again mane cuz you're spewing all sorts of brown stuff on this thread 😉

You're not an SF fan

you're breakin my heart mane. dont say that 🙁
😆

your comments show that you don't even like the series. You have no concept of tournament play or high level game mechanics. And insulting the game physics? Just because you can't play it or because you dislike the style? Get out. No, seriously, get out of the thread.

yet, i say that SF3 is the best 2d fighter there is.
my question here is simple: why do people like SFIV? some decided to answer it and i appreciated it. why you show up to VG thread to make an ass out of yourself again, act emo again and show us all the reasons why you left in the first place......i still don't know. not sure you do either 😂

Street Fighter does not cater to gamers like you. It's not made for the majority of the market or people looking for a gimmicky fighter. It's a balanced fighting game with depth, intelligent design and limits, enormous replay value, and pure nostalgia factor thrown in for good measure.

depth, not really. rufus tells you to shut up about the intelligent design and limits. replay value, to a degree yes. pure nostalgia, yeah been there done that with the several SF2 remakes. we don't remakes and nostalgia for a game that barely did anything new since 1992.

SF4 has all of that and more. It's the Twenty-First century version of Street Fighter 2, the most balanced fighting game of all time. The way it all fits and works together, from the characters, to the gameplay, to the music, to the stages, even to the voice acting (original japanese only for that last one, as I despise dub)............it's brilliant.

they can think what they want. just like me. or does the fact that coupla people don't see things from your prespective still make you shit yourself like back in the day when you went emo and left vg threads? 😄

But you're not looking for that. You want cheap gamebreakers, gimmicks, jiggle physics, overpowered characters and improperly made game mechanics.

oh so you can read my mind then? well, that's good so then i don't need to tell you this because you already know that i want you to:

shut the **** up, and get the **** out.

tosser 😂

Personally I had more fun with SFIV than I've had with any fighting game in the past 10 years. It's magic is it reigns in that wonderful territory of being easy to pick up and play but very difficult to truly master.

The day I got it my mom was playing it with me, and she didn't know how to do anything, I eventually taught her how to do a hadoken. She just buttoned mashed but she has a great time. And I had a great time playing with her just screwing around. I've also had great times playing with friends and people online and even against the computer.

I think the game is just pure undiluted fun, moreso than any other recent fighting game.

I also think the graphics are beautiful and the physics fit the style wonderfully.

Yes definitely more impressive than Mortal Kombat vs. DC

I don't see why the graphics are so awesome, they're decent to me. Tekkens look better. The characters builds just look stupid as well.

It looks fun but I wont buy it unless I'm bored.

The MK gameplay was allot better than normal, but it generally as a whole felt a bit off. I still have only completed Batman on arcade, thats on easy just to see what happens. There's nothing to keep you playing because the gameplay still needs improvements I say, not much but a bit.

Still I finds it fun to play when I decide to.

I'd say MKvsDC is more impressive.

ditto. the graphics suck imo. heads are too big, arms and legs are too big, the body's too small, the feet are bigger than all of that combined...the guy who did the sprites needs lessons in body proportions badly. then again, when was the last time japanese got proportions right 🙄
the physics of this game suck horribly too. the jump feels stupid, the projectiles etc also feels (and looks) like shite and the whole game is clunky. and there's the physics of abel's overly used, annoying as phuck, i-catch-you-and-spin-you-around-like-sunday-laundry-and-throw-you-down move which looks so bad...and he keeps doing it.
and i'm not too crazy about the zoom-in-specials either...that stuff works only when the art is good. when the art sucks as bad as it does it makes everything an eyesore.
and finally, SFIV has the shittest new characters of all time. El Fuerto, rufus, seth, vaness...err...crimson vane...err...crimson viper, goushit and anal all look shit.

i played it on arcade and thought it looked like shit. but i gave it a chance and my friend got it on Xbox360 and it still looked shit. if the game looks crap on Xbox360 you know its got no hope.

...You know I'm actually going to give you that one. That is the single most retarded thing in the game, barring Seth's just plain nonsense maneuvers on Arcade.

damn straight 😄

I been trying to find a ST 4 tournament online, with all the matches and everything. Does anyone know of any?

Because I think the graphics in the game are much better done and I find it more fun than SFIV, especially with it's more variety of attacks. It's just easier to pick up and pull off but challenging at the same time.

SFIV kind of wore off on me pretty fast.
