i just saw the ultras.. they put wayyyy more thought into juri's than anyones.. but I still like adons the best.. and since they're gonna have 2 ultras, heres hoping guy and cody get some better ones.. cuz cody's joe higashi screw upper and the maximum spider starring : guy, doesnt really cut it for me
Originally posted by NemeBroI saw a vid a while back w/the director or producer of SF4 saying she was made to look "cool like the KOF designs as opposed to the cartoony ones of SF" or something like that. She's KOF inspired & reminds me a lot of Vanessa. Nothing wrong w/that though.
She barely looks anything like either of them. 😬If anything, her design is based off of a ****ing Elite Beat Agent (Kind of).
I like all the new characters but Juri so far. Guy's finisher is AWESOME!

I swear I just linked Akuma's heavy kick with a heavy kick.It was HK(first kick misses), HK, LP, Hurricane Kick, Heavy uppercut thing. I got a 8 hit combo instead of the usual 7. Is this even supposed to be possible?

Sick! Though something tells me he could have pulled off even more damage if he did something other than Raging Demon. I think it suffers from damage scaling more than any other ability I know of.
I'll probably buy Super Street Fighter IV then play it for a week, most likely because I want to try out Juri and Guy above all else, then after that, my brothers will probably steal my PS3 again, and play it forever.
I swear if Capcom doesn't stop, the roster will be 50+ by the time we get to Super Street Fighter IV Turbo.
I hate huge rosters. It would be okay for games like MVC and other VS series but, IMO, Alpha 3 was kinda ridiculous. Giant rosters make the characters seem unimportant and forgettable. Just add more in SFV. I seen a pic of the new character in SFIV. It's a dark skin guy wit white hair and he seems to have a Krizalid "get up" on. I truly hope this is Urien. I would take him over Ibuki, pleez let it be him and if it is, don't take away his Aegis Reflector.
Newbies want a gigantic cast load, that's the biggest problem...look at Tekken 6's roster, that's absolutely ridiculous now. For Street Fighter IV, isn't the roster already like...30+, with these new addition characters, your looking at close to 40 characters.
To me, it's just dumb to have that many, not only will it devalue some characters, but the potential for balancing could prove to be problematic with that many playable characters.
I was, and will never be a huge fan of gigantic rosters for the Legit Street Fighter Series (Legit meaning, II, Alpha, III, and IV, not the Vs stuff) so although many of these characters are making an "appearance" I want Capcom to try and close the lid on this. Ibuki should not make the cut, because she'll only be like 12 when SF:IV.
Imo, once SF:IV *insert whatever* or SF:V comes out, and it takes place Post-SFIII, then we should have more III characters taking part, that's just my opinion on the matter, since it would make more sense, unless Capcom wants to throw out most of SFIII's storyline out of the window.

I was actually told that the tier gap isnt very big at all.. something to the effect of the highest being A+ and the lowest being C+
not sure how much water that holds.. /shrug
even though people said SFIV is pretty balanced.. I still felt like I got easily crushed by certain characters
Originally posted by JustFrameI really don't care about SF's story cuz it aint really that great. I could understand why they wouldn't put her in but I would like it if she was cuz she's the shit. IMO, she is like one of the most traditional if not THEE MOST realistic ninja in a FG's and that's sayin' alot wit all the ninjas out there. I just miss her, that's all.

Originally posted by I-DropIt would seem so for KOF, but they phucked up somewhere cuz I've been wantin' that cast to shrink ever since 2000. When I think of a retarded, needlessly huge roster, KOF comes to mind 1st. 90% of the cast are either made up of forgettable characters or good characters that get played off entirely too much for the sake of what ever new Hero Team pops up. K' for instance, he was the main phuckin character for 4 KOFs, now he's just another dude in a KOF game. I mean, the guy doesn't have to be the star again, but give him and his team some God Damn importance.
Ditto. Team games like MVC or KOF need huge rosters. SF4 doesn't
I think serious FGs that are not a VS, should have no more than 25 characters and KOF 30. KOF should always have no more than 10 teams. There is no reason to have 12 official teams of three and still have a roster of like 50 different characters
