Heat has little effect on Surfer... judging by his own words, and actions. Korvac threw a heat blast hard enough to destroy a planet, and it didn't effect Surfer... but of course, that's not relevant here, is it? And that wasn't the original intention.
And besides... eventually hurt or kill going all out, isn't even close to as bad as saying Superman is going to melt Surfer's head off...
However, let me ask you if you believe the overpower Omega Effect, and one shot kill Despero?

Superman wins a slight majority. 🙂 Most of Superman's best feats have occured in the middle of combat, while most of Surfer's best feats have occured outside of battle (if that makes any sense to you). Therefore, he has the advantage of being more combat oriented and more formidable than Norrin.

I doubt all the Probes were equal (The one Superman and Mongul went after was pretty f*cking tough... and then later apparently they are fodder, no way that's consistent, unless power was created different) anyway... damn Casey, Superman took out almost everyone in that series...
