And that method has been tried and failed on Superman. His body absorbs solar radiation at an exponentially faster rate when he's being depleted of his energy reserves.
In other words, the more radiation Surfer would suck out of him, the more radiation Superman's body would take in directly from the sun.

Your acting like draining supes would take hours. He could drain him fairly fast and while weakened he could blast him dead.
Surfer has multiple options. Its not just red sun, k nite, and solar draining, its a combination of the 3 or even other options.
Just cause power cosmic blasts are not supermans weakness doesnt mean a full powered cosmic blasts wouldn't hurt or even kill supes eventually.

Agreed. Besides..when he fought the kryptonian serial killer....the guy was amped by the strength of a planetful of beings, and using weapons specifically meant to weaken and kill kryptonians....and Superman was still able to match him blow for blow and was slowly overpowering him.
Major force also tried the same thing and got pwned. While Force is not as diverse with his energy manip..he's definitely comparable to SS in durability, and strength.
Surfer is not shrugging blows off from Superman...and while trying to do any of his pc hocus pocus...he will be ko'd.
Superman can just T-vo him as well. 🙂

When was this and what were the cirumstances? Im taking what you say with a pinch of salt. You have misread scans before and when somebody says "he almost killed me" it doesnt mean that.

Er I dont think he did that straight afterwards. From what I remember everybody was concentrating on SBP not Henshaw, he had time to recover.
