Superman vs Silver surfer

Niether Thor nor Thanos are as mobile and fast as Superman. Not That I think Surfer Loses, but he sure as hell doesn't take an over whelming majority. Superman is as powerful as the surfer. just less versatile with the very weaknesses that just happen to be surfer's specialty. Take Superman's weaknesses away and Surfer would be up shit creek.

Superman would lose in an overwhelming majority though. His weaknesses make him so underpowered that normal humans like Batman can wail on him when he's exposed to them. The Surfer can literally make these weaknesses from thin air, and is at least as strong as Supes to begin with, so there's really no way he could lose here.

Take away Superman's weaknesses and the Surfer can still go back in time and destroy him before his birth, use the PC to increase his strength and speed to levels far beyond those of Kal El, etc. Even without the weaknesses Surfer takes a victory, his options are just more limited.

Please show me Surfer using the PC to amp his strength? He sure as hell didn't do it when the Runner was pwning him in hand to hand. He never amped his strength when Thanos pwns him with Ease. Thor does better than Surfer does against Thanos.

I've read plenty of info on the Surfer and all sources told me that he could use the PC to enhance himself. The writers want Surfer to lose sometimes though, so he simply doesn't do it in those fights. In this fight he isn't going to be under writer restriction, and even if he didn't amplify his strength he's at least on Kal El's level and still has the time travel trick and the use of the PC to create powerful energy blasts. Superman is very much the underdog here, even without weaknesses.

Well the time traveling tactic would certainly work but SS would have to CATCH Superman to accomplish alot of the other stuff, which is not easy.

Given that Superman, despite his slightly superior strength, basically has no way to hurt SS and that Superman has plenty of weaknesses for SS to exploit he will take it eventually.

The "Super" version of Surfer used here doesn't exist. Using an equally "Super" version of Superman would result in Surfer getting owned.

Better combat speed. Nearly invulnerable to his "weaknesses" that Surfer hasn't been shown to be able to reproduce, and of course Torquasm Vo to totally negate Surfers PC.

But of course, people like to ignore that Supes isn't just some brick because hey! then they can't claim that *insert character here* is superior!

Under average circumstances it could go either way.

SS takes this quite easily, Superman has more weaknesses to exploit then Hulk, and look what SS did to Hulk.

That xover made Superman the second most powerful being in existence...(Reed's words) so PC would just make Superman near unstoppable. =)

Without exploiting weaknesses, Surfer isn't winning any. The guy hasn't beaten guys like Thor or Darkseid..he ain't hanging with Supes.

Supes wins 6/10. Surfer gets beasted by Torquasm Vo. It is one of Superman's powers people and has been used to defeat Dominus. Dominus is a monster the likes of which Surfer has never defeated without using the the 'powers of the crunch' (to kamikaze Tenebrous and Aegis). Surfer cannot react as fast as Supes either. Superman has taken nukes after being covered in kryptonite and moved (if i remember correctly) a ship 16 times the mass of Earth under a red sun. His only real weakness is magic.

The surfer can manipulate energy and drain Superman, he can transmute matter to make anything around him into kryptonite, and he can travel time.
