Even in that scan its not the whole asteroid. In the comic, the scientist calculated it to be twice the size of earth. Obviously they couldnt depict the whole thing on panel.
why not? they've depicted planets and stars in one panel...im sure they could manage an asteroid

and that scan, it was pretty much the entire asteroid...just missing a little bit of the back

even if it were twice the size of the earth. the mere fact that hulk pierced it goes to show that it certainly wasn't as durable or dense as the earth. It didn't even cause any harm as it fell thru the atmosphere. The parts themselves should have still destoyed the earth.

Please dont bring this type of logic into it. The reason the parts didnt destroy the earth is because the people who wrote the comic arent scientists and didnt take that into account. The main point was for hulk to destroy the asteroid and he did that with a double fisted smash. They obviously didnt intend for the asteroid to destroy the planet and so it didnt. For heavens sake its a comic.

Wow. This is how far you are willing to go to demean a feat. All I can say is wow.

i like how you "missed" the part where hulk destroyed an asteroid twice the earth's size as it was traveling thousands of miles per second.

what hulk did there with raw power would blow your head up if you saw the math.

No matter how many beings Superman has beaten that are >> Surfer and Galactus. No matter how many ridiculous feats Superman has, KMC surfer Pwns all.

It's not actually about who wins the fight, it's about who wins the argument itself. You don't have to convince the judges that Supes wins, just that your call on the match up is better than mine. That's why I specifically said...

Oh come on Supes fans, I’m not even talking about a Battlezone to prove who wins in a forum fight between Surfer and Supes because that’d be way to easy for me and we‘d probably never agree on the judges anyway. I’m talking about a Battlezone to determine which side is actually “winning” the debate itself. In other words, which side of the argument is doing a better job of raising valid points and addressing and countering the points of their opponents rather than sidestepping/making BS claims and then claiming “victory“ in the argument. If your of the opinion that the result is an even split then go ahead and debate that, it’s about the debate itself not who wins a fight between Surfer and Supes.

So come on, don’t be scared. All you have to do is bring a reasonable argument to the table and you've got a legitimate shot at winning. Of course if you already know that all you're really doing is talking out of your ass...

I'm of the opinion that Surfer wins at least 8/10 against Supes in a forum fight and would be arguing to that effect. If you think it's closer to an even split or 6/10 one way or the other all you have to do is bring a more reasonable argument to the table to support your opinion than I do. I'd never ask someone to try to convince educated judges that Supes actually wins the majority, that debate would be too easy to even be worth my time. I mean there's a reason why the one thing that the vast majority of the forum members on KMC, CBR, and Herochat all agree on is that Clark goes down if he squares off with Norrin...

that's bull faeces

most well-informed posters know that Kal-El would beat Norrin Radd in a comic battle

only in KMC, where all of sudden Surfer does things he never does in his comic fights does he have a semblance of a chance

if both fight in character, Superman wins 8/10

Almost 240 people believe so 😂

First of all, the comic makes clear from the words of the scientist that the destruction of the meteor is going to be a consequence of the magnetic propulsion AND Hulk's strength, he wonders if the two COMBINED will be enough.
Hulk also clearly said that he felt like he was flying and that he has never jumped that fast and far before. If he was being propelled than he would pass right through it. His density obviously comes into play.

If Superman went hurdling at a high speed into an object twice the size of the Earth it would crack too, and we could debate whether or not it was his strength or his density that did it, but both would be involved if he was actually "hurdling" toward it.

hulk had only initial momentum (from the devise on earth), he must have slowed down from drag in the atmosphere since the harness disintegrated from friction.

and hulk's arms also were at his sides for the majority of the trip, only shown outstretched while actually busting the asteroid. it was a double punch/superman dive, not a bull charge.

superman on the other hand has sustained thrust like a rocket, it's totally different..

It needs to be pointed out that all the rocket did was make the Grey Hulk jump farther than usual, that was the main purpose of it. It might have gave him some momentum but it was only needed because of the vast distance.

Would you like links to the Supes vs Surfer threads at HC and CBR?

Also, are you interested in taking up the challenge?

No, that was only ONE stated reason it was needed. The other (as the scientist makes clear) was to attempt to create a total extent of impact capable of destroying the meteor.

"I still don't believe that his strength COMBINED with my anti-magnetic technology will be enough"

If one thing is being hurdled right into another thing, density will be a major factor.
