Superman vs Silver surfer

superman's strength feats on average are prob more impressive than Surfers

also, Superman regularly speedblitzes his enemies, I've almost never seen Surfer ever blitz an opponent

The Surfer didn't even need to try against an enraged Hulk, and the Hulk once destroyed a cosmic body twice the size of the Earth. Has post crisis Supes ever destroyed an Earth sized or larger planet?(note this isn't sarcasm, I don't actually know if he has or not)

Also, feats are kind of a moot point when Marvel has said Surfer can enhance his strength to infinite levels with the PC. Since Marvel made the character, what they say goes.

Because Marvel wanted him to win. Thanos wouldn't be a big deal if Surfer just amped up and destroyed him.

It was twice the size of Earth, and I don't have a scan. It was in Marvel Comics Presents #52.

How cna Surfer enhance his strengthto infinite levels when Surfer does not control infinite levels of the power Cosmic. Not even Galactus does. If he did, he wouldn't need to feed. And just becuz something is twice as large as earth, doesn't mean it's twice as massive or twice as dense.

He can because Marvel has said he can. They are the gods of their work, so they get the final word.

And its not like Hulk smashed a giant space whiffle ball. It was an asteroid, meaning rock with a nickel-iron core. Now can you please tell me if post crisis Supes has ever done the same?

No he can't. marvel doesn't say he can. marvel has to show that he can. Surfer cannot amp his physical stats to infinite degrees. The Surfer once went mad just amping himself with a small part of a star's power. And still only pwned some force shields. did nothing to the planet itself. Now rock with nickel iron core isn't all that makes something as dense as the earth. Something could be as small as the moon and much harder to break than something ten times the size of the earth.

He's taken out a jupiter sized planet with his breath. 🙂

He hasnt. Yet people still say he can destroy a planet with no on panel proof. We dont know how many punches it would take.

Thanks for the info. So why is it that SS needs on panel feats for evidence, but Superman speculation is law? I think I'll just walk away from this thread before ridiculous arguments start to rear their ugly heads.

Nitpicking. It's still a moon. That is why the scan is posted ALONG the description.
