A money where your mouth approach is far more appealing. 🙂 Some of our members for example can't afford comics (a sad state of affairs) and can't afford to give back to the industry in which they get their entertainment from at all. A take home pot would surely be nice for some people.

I understand time isnt free but we all come here freely and to argue this bs. You guys could set up a time limit where you could have all the time you needed and at a time when you could afford to devote time for this.

My battlezone I set up Thanos scans first and then Darkseid ones second on my photobucket account so I would have it in some kind of an order.

Try one battlezone and see how you feel. Its a lotta fun. You surely love Superman and he surely loves the Surfer. Thats what makes it so great. You both really like the characters that you are representing.

Actually I already chose Surfer to win this, I was just having an "academic" argument about Hulk's feat (and arguing against the idea that first level unenraged Hulk is stronger than Superman).

However that was actually not the case because the antimagnetic springs were ONLY to get hulk into space while the other weapon was to be combined with his strength in destroying it. However the hulk dropped the weapon which was to aid him in actually destroying the asteroid and did it with his strength. The rocket springs played a very very little part in the actual destructive process if any at all.

I wasnt trying to use polls as evidence. Starscream was talking about how most informed posters believe superman wins and i brought up the fact that the the overwhelming general consensus on three major comic forums is that supes loses a solid majority. So his statement was false unless he is willing to believe that 3/4 of the people on these forums are not well informed.

They are pretty bloodthirsty now for free. 😉

In anything that I've seen competitive, I've always seen money thrown down when things are more serious. For all the time people spend setting up/preparing/ setting up timeframes/etc..I'm surprised that nothing is really attained from them.

Even after your battlezone with Nvr...nothing changed. Neither opinion of the characters nor your "status" at kmc. There are still threads that you can hop into at your leisure when you do feel like debating...so what exactly is the point of the whole "battlezone" in light of all that?

Come on, read the last panel. Hulk says "not too BIG for the Hulk" but then simultaneously thinks "with a little help from experimental anti-magnetic jet propelled fortified rocket springs". "Not too big" clearly relates to the strength feat, not to how far away the thing is.

As i said, it's simple Physics, and the comic book writers understood it. You cannot actually shoot someone into something without producing a heck of alot of force, and if you have the density of the Hulk, well you know the rest.

Well, I did a quick informal poll in my office about a battlezone about comics and 100% of the response was that it's stupid.

Does that make it so?

Quan is a nuthugger to the chars he loves so it isnt a good example. IMO, the case for supes has already been made...failure to accept is there own choice.

If the rocket springs were supposed to substantially help hulk destroy the asteroid they wudnt have been so shocked when he dropped the antimagnetic weapon asking" how does he intend to destroy the asteroid hen he gets there?" From this statement its clear that the thing that was to aid him in wrecking the asteroid was the weapon which he dropped.

Also note that i was NOT using polls to justify why surfer wins in this instance but simply using them to question starscreams wrong statement that most well informed posters believe supes wins at least 8/10. We already know that there was an additional weapon that was supposed to aid Hulk in destroying it, that has nothing to do with the point being made here.

I repeat once again, it is physically impossible to shoot someone into something without creating a tremendous force, and if the object is very dense, it will be quite destructive.

Surprisingly, there are a lot of comics fans where I work. Sports, comics, movies, games, etc...these guys/gals discuss everything. I asked about the whole battlezone thing, not comics in general.

As long as you aren't claiming that polls are proof, it's all good though.

Please carry on with the SS/Superman/Insert character here debate. 🙂

Actually it has nearly everything to do with the point being made here. From ur statements u imply that the rocket springs played a major part in destroying the asteroids. You even went as far as claiming that the scientist intended for them to aid in the total destructive impact hence them saying" His strength Combined with my antimagnetic technology" The thing is u didnt point out that the rocket springs were NOT the part of the technology that was to aid him in the destruction of the asteroid. The part that was to aid him was eventually NOT used. He therefore had to use his strength to do it. From the scientist reaction it can be inferred that the rocket springs were not designed to shoot hulk into space with force to actually aid him considerably. They were intended to augment his jumping ability so he could get past earths atmosphere period. The rest was up to him.

Im not naming the poster's name but this poster looked like he was at a loss for words and didnt really even address the other side's argument.

One problem is though in this case most definitely that most on here have already made their minds up. Most believe Superman loses just like at the time of my Darkseid vs Thanos debate that most agreed that Darkseid wins.

Opinions generally stay the same and even if you lose its no big deal. As long as you put forth a worthwhile argument its all fun in the end. Darthgoober will have a much easier time in this debate.

Im different than most posters though and if anyone talks shit to me Ill meet them head on in a battlezone. Youll learn a lot about the Surfer in the process and overall its quite a learning experience.

And please dont make me repeat the very very simple lesson on simply reading and comprehending whats on panel. The scientist didnt know the extent of hulks strength. Nobody in marvel has been able to quantify it and so its them being surprised is natural. The scientist however DID know the capabilities of the technology that THEY CREATED. Really its self explanatory if u just read the page.

The only thing you can infer here is that since they gave Hulk a laser gun they didn't believe the meteor could be destroyed by pure propulsion impact combined with the Hulk's strength, you cannot conclude that they believed that there was no propulsion impact.

So with that aside, Physics tells us there must be.
