Fact is, characters don't always use every ability at their disposal. Surfer hardly ever uses his speed in fights. Superman hardly ever uses super-breath. That doesn't mean it's not there.

I can see the "I'm hit!" part. Surfer doesn't really use his speed in fights. Who's he fighting?

Surfer simply fares better in long range confrontations, while superman is better at short range plain and simple.

My point is, if Surfer and Superman are both using their power at maximum effciency, there isn't much Superman can do.

Yea surfer is just way too powerful as a cosmic herald, he has speed strength intelligence, but is simply normal in melee, where it is supes only chance.

have not been here for a while studying for the usmile exam-silver surfer should win this but i wouldnot be suprise if supes will come out on tops. o yeah when did surfer destroy a whole planet by himself i remeber he had a lot of help in that.

SS hardly struck him full power. You know that wasnt the extent of SS's power Whirly the mans a pacifist at heart. He'd jus come across Cyborg and he didnt know anything of his powers , such as how durable he is for example. SS shot at him it didnt do much and before SS got a chance to do anything else Hal came who isnt so light handed as SS and knew of Cyborg dealt with the situation. Thats not good evidence Whirly and you know it. 😄

Using crossovers as evidence which is fine as thats all we can really do, SS punks Supes end of.
