I though the whole plannet eating thing had little to do with replenishing energys. I thought the great hunger was bestowed upon Galactus by Eternity because of something to do with celesials. I dont know all this cosmic crap means little to me .

The Elders tried to kill him in Surfer Vol 3. I dont remember what issues # but it was in the 30s or so.
Even in the cartoon series Galactus almost died and Norrin was near powerless.
