To the "Surfer doesn't use his speed in fights" argument, A: Flying beyond lightspeed in a circle and still having the ability to raise your arms and fire a blast into the circle with accuracy shows a fair amount of control at that speed. That fight should not be dismissed so lightly.
And finally to "Galactus doesn't fly at lightspeed and blast people, so Surfer can't". I've never seen LT push planets, is Superman gonna beat him in a fist fight?
Let's see, SS has his power stolen twice by doom a human. Where was his cosmic awareness then?
An ordinary lightning bolt from storm, not even a sneak attack hurts him pretty bad.

Crossover or not, he's already beaten Hulk, and Thor... 2 of his main rivals. Thor has a magic hammer with properties as strong as the power cosmic. After a good whack (admitedly)from thor...he simply catches it and renders it fairly useless.

Supes whould beat the crap out of Surfer if he fight him H2h. And he won't be able to suck the energy out of Superman if he can't touch him. 🙂
huh why not? touching someone has never been important for surfer to absorb from them...he's not Rogue HAHAHA. Surfer is more durable and has strength limited only by the amount of power he is presently channelling. And surfer has been shown to absorb more power than Supes is capable...Supe can absorb energy off a sun, but Surfer can absorb a considerable fraction of that sun and then use it offensively.

In JLA #41, Superman absorbed the energy of the Mageddon Warhead, a device capable, at the minimum, of vaporizing half a galaxy. Writer Grant Morrison intended Mageddon to be "the primordial annihilator" capable of literally destroying everything. Visibly distressed by the absorption, Superman still suffered no harm whatsoever, and even smiled afterwards.
Surfer's absorbed suns before. Absorbing Supes solar energy wouldn't be much of a problem. kgkg or Cube posted a scan of Surfer absorbing the sun somewhere. Surfer wins.
Snoop Dogg, your right, Superman will give him a good fight, and it won't be as easy as most people would think, but in the end, Supes will eventually fall.
