He could theoretically do this to all of Superman's incarnations. 😄
Props to kgkg for the scans!!!

They didnt get the point of absorbing a sun...i wasnt talking about using solar power against superman...I was saying that Surfer could actually absorb a fraction of a sun at least where Superman's solar absorbing abilities seem laughable next to the Surfer...Maybe Surfer could absorb the power of an entire sun. Regardless, in that instance the Surfer went on to destroy a planet with that power he absorbed.

I love this you proved the point and Supes never gets overloaded by the sun😄 So it pumped him up, didn't prove he was more pumped than supes gets in the sun, just proved his upper limit for absorbtion is lower😄Well done Snoop point made😄
Doesn't take Surfer thousands of years to absorb enough energy to beat a giant computer. 😛
One inconsitency, and now he's proved a point? 🙄 Surfer is inconsistent between writers, so you try to show him at his worst every time. Surfer can use any energy he absorbs, and he could put out enough energy to destroy a sun. That's more than enough to vaporise Supes.
Or, he could make Superman into a statue.
Well I agree Norrin may be faster than Superman in space. Superman never really tested his limits in space. I have shown him flying at lightspeed and even flying fast enough to slow down time and bend space.
So obviously he is obviously as fast as can be in the DCU.
I wish I had Lex 2000 special cause in it Superman flies from Earth to Saturn in less than 4 minutes cause he is mad that Lex was elected president. Light takes 19 minutes for this trip. Supes did in 4.
He also punched a moon in half with one strike.
Does anybody have the Lex 2000 special?
Surfer is faster than Superman on Earth, too. Surfer's speed isn't limited by the Earth's atmosphere. He's as fast in space as he is on Earth.
Bending space does not necessarily require light speed.
Did the narration specifically state that Superman arrived in under 4 minutes? Why would Lex becoming president make Superman fly to Saturn? Why did he punch the moon in half? Why?

Only in flight speed, not fighting speed. Supes uses both, Surfer does one but not the other. 🙂

How can some people do it and not others?
Originally posted by Cosmic CubeYes it does. Superman flew to Saturn to blow off some steam. He was angry.

Sure does. For the record, an atmosphere isn't what stops an object from traveling at light speed. Inertial mass dilation does.
Flash can reach lightspeed via the Speed Force. No one can attain lightspeed without the Speed Force, in DC.
Who knows how fast you have to go to bend space. Surfer bends space without traveling anywhere near light speed.
Well until it's proven to have occurred, it might has well have not happened. Did you ever read the issue, or are you just taking that from that list of lies about Superman that you posted about a month ago?
