Captain Marvel #7 & #8 Gods and Monsters
Here's a picture of issue 7:
The story arc right before Coven. The scan kgkg posted was when he was going by the name Legacy. Genis back then wasn't as experienced as he is now. If they battled now, Genis will fare a bit better now. But still, what Surfer did to him was impressive.

Indeed I have the silver surfer issue with Legacy it was early nineties, I do not have the captain marvel issue alsthough I have read it on the web.
Genis would beat the Surfer now😄
okay, a couple problems with a couple of the scans:
1. going back in time. ss is not going to break off in the middle of a battle and fly back in time. it's not a realistic battle option imho.
2. shehulk is a clown and the whole scene was meant to be funny. 'fraid that doesn't do much for you. i could show a lot of scenes where much more highly regarded heroes speak in awe -- REAL awe -- of superman.
3. in scan #6 he says he can transmute states of matter. so? says nothing of organic matter.
4. in the blackbody story arc ss had absorbed power from the group that was helping him fight. all through that arc, ss had his ass handed to him.
5. in that scan, he doesn't change spidey/dd to stone - he encases them in some sort of solidified power. still no evidence he transmutes organic matter.
6. the impossible man. that one i need to look at. i know exactly what issue it was. in the scan though, even though im is in a new shape, he's still im. he was forced (somehow) to shift shape, but he was not transmuted into a different state of matter. i've still seen no evidence taht he can transmute organic matter into any other state of matter.
the scan with legact IS a good one though, and difficult to debate against. healing the plague is a good one too, but unless supes comes in with plague, i'm not sure how that helps you. i already know he can see and affect things at the molecular level.
and nowadays, from what i've seen and read genis vell would defeat ss, and he sure as hell wouldn't get trapped in no board.

It's an option , he has done this in an actually battle

-Spiderman/ Daredevil ( both organic)
- Genis also organic

read the issue , in the issue he could have killed 1000's if he didn't take his time.
his goal was to help , he even states that if he doesn't take his time he could kill them all.
hehe
either way you look at it Superman is toast in so many ways

2) He ripped the things arm off by paralyzing to rock like stateagain the powercosic effect organic life
And yet he can't cure cancer or remove scars in Blockbuster.

He has healed others from the point of death. If you want to use low points in a character's past, Supes can't catch bullets, and can be knocked out by headbutts. No fair, eh? 😬
Originally posted by Cosmic CubeI think Supes lowest point was how many times he was killed . . . with ease. . .

Jimmy Olsen punches him and he dies. . . Jimmy olsen guns him down and he dies. . . And everyone seems to have truckloads of Kryptonite at some of the lower points. . .
he encased spidey and dd in a solidified energy sheathe. what holds dd ain't holding supes. unlikely he'd encase him in anything. well, maybe k-nite. (ouch)
whirly's point is how much can he effect organic matter if he can't even cure a simple disease or eliminate scars?
and i've never said he can't effect organic matter - a cosmic blast sure as hell has an effect on human cells! - i said you have not been able to prove that he can transmute it into another type of matter - ie - turn superman to stone.

ROTFL, guys you're falling into kgkg trap.
The pics he showed are useless as a Flash VS Aunt May topic.
Surfer was fighting a newbie Genis Vell, not experienced and not smarter as his current version, a Genis that usually goes punking around in the space, acting like a teen ager with cosmic powers, the actual version is mad, smart, intelligent, experienced, with powers that actually didn't showed a limit, and will punk SS anyday, especially considering his killer instinct, while Surfer usually hold back.

Blockbuster in particular is a high poing, but I take your point.
Inconsistant writing is not the key 😄
