FotN, do you not understand that personal experience, is not the be all and end all? You don't know how most white or black people feel, the people you are talking about are the bigots you've met, to be honest the way you talk about white people it's no wander your experiences have been bad. I wouldn't be too happy if upon meeting you, you labelled me as more than likely to be a racist.

Yes before the civil rights era racism was common place and the accepted way things were, it too the movement to open the eyes of “white” and see things differently and has been doing so since that time. You still have millions that were alive during that time and their views may not have changed but you have a vast number that were born after that time who didn’t grow up in that culture.

Exactly how are the laws against discrimination supposed to keep whites in power?
