I might not have the best writeups or be the best debater (or maybe I am 😈 ), but I've always prided myself on being very clear and organized in my posts. I'd like to think my writeups are easy to read, if nothing else.
We've all written posts that are way too long and confusing, but I've found that as a judge of a lot of these, a lot of what swayed me was when someone could get their point across in a clear and concise manner. It's also taught me to appreciate brevity and post limits. No one wants to read 5+ pages of rambling discussion, no matter how intelligent it is.

...and also for the record, the vote in the finals was a joke because he had already won by that point and I was spiting him. I can't remember who my actual vote would've gone for, but it might've been Blair.

You provide all the evidence to prove that your strategy will work utilizing your characters abilities and the aspects of the battlefield as well as how your characters abilities will counter the efforts of your oppoenent. You go back and forth in this manner until you run out of posts. At that point it's up to the 3 judges to decide which team presented the better, more believable plan of attack, not simply for them to say who they think would win based on what characters are available. The arguments themselves are what's taken into consideration, not simply the most powerful character.

I remember his trick with lava storm and sandstorm at the same time... all while he got a number of Wendigos in his team and CIS was in play.
