CoO's story caused a few plot inconsistencies in the series. Then again, GoW2's plot wasn't fully thought out properly (with regards to time travel and such), so meh.

Can't say I think so. GoW's is not so convoluted as to involve the possibility of plot-holes. Especially what with Kratos' intentions on going back through time being so simple.

Kazenji - I really wouldn't need to explain any of them had you played the other two. If you haven't, fair enough. I'll give you a small example. Some of the plot details fail to take into account certain phrases made in the other two games.

^ With GoW2, the only plot issue I can recall relates to the Time-travel aspect.

He's rewinding his thread to time-travel. So how does he rewind his thread, and go to a point in time where he never existed?

Which i have.....

No ideas yet then? Pity.

One such instance would be Kratos' surprise at learning that a Titan (Cronos) is still alive. He specifically says "A Titan lives?" Athena replies "Cronos is the last" Both GoW2 and CoO fail to take that into account by introducing Atlas. DURR.

Atlas was stuck in the Underworld like all the Titans. Persephone freed him. Cronos was the last to still be in the living world. That's otherwise obvious.

And which part was that because he does that twice in the second game.

Fair enough. Though technically, Atlas himself is still 'living' while being chained to the underworld. Kratos shouldn't have been surprised that a Titan was still around.

I'm pretty sure that was'nt his thread.

Twas his thread. They even show the events of God of War 2 just like it was the first time, with the replacement of the Zeus picture with that of the Titans.

Well who's to say that was'nt "HIS" thread especally if he manage to go back further back into time.

The thread was in the same place as the first time and he saw the events of GoW2 play back. 😐

Biggest news in a while

I may very well do it myself. I missed out on a coupl of other Collector's Editions in the past, so I think I'd at least try this one or AC2 (moneywise, I'm good for either one, but not both, that, and AC2 comes out soon). If I could think of adding one last thing, it'd probably have to be that 6-issue comic book mini-series that's supposed to come out starting this month.

Which skin should I pick?

I'd go with the amazon one, or the one that looks like a soldier in armor. Though it bloody sucks. They should make all the costumes available for those that do not pre-order. Those that pre-order should get the costume from the start, that's all.

I find it really awesome that God of War 1 & 2 will be ported to the PS3 with smooth HD support. I wonder how much the Collector's Edition will be just to get all three GoW games.

They won't be doing such a thing anytime in the near future.

I wonder if they'll include a completely new protagonist as part of another trilogy, or if they'll set games during the earlier periods of Kratos' life.

Though it sucks that CoO remains a PSP exclusive, even if it is a downscale of sorts of the first two games. They could have at least made it available on PSN, never mind the Collection.

~ The firebow seems to be overpowered in the demo. You could simply spam the shots from a distance, wait for the bar to regenerate (while dishing out extra damage if you'd like), then firing again for a cycle. Too good.

u know what would be pretty cool.... a god of war game (psp or ps3) that takes place before COO, and kratos fights in the battle of thermopolyea alongside leonidas as well.. that would be cool

Actually if you look up the website called Joystiq, it'll have an article saying the Collector's Edition that will have God War I, II, and III will be out the same day GoWIII comes out.

If I had choose to get either Chains of Olympus or GoW 1 and 2, I would obviously go for 1 and 2 and not CoO because those two are the better God of War games.

The firebow looks wicked.

Anyone getting the Collector's Edition?
