No... but I DO see a rule saying that participants must be Spider-Man level.
Hulk would have been a smart pick too.
OMG!!! y didn't ah think of dat!
Not on the same level that going up and strangling them does, no.
Don't have a temper tantrum just because your pick is being challenged. Frankly, a character that can go intangible, as well as diamond hard and can mess with inner organs easily without any self detriment shouldn't be available at this level.
And, actually, I did consider the various people who can go intangible but are Spider-Man level. Shinobi isn't one of them.
I'm just going by your words. But, if one were to ask me, I'd say a low-level speedster who is still vulnerable to physical damage is less of a threat than a person who can go intangible and then have a diamond hard fist in your chest.
And, this objection is not because I didn't prepare. I legitimately consider him over the caps.
I'm afraid that every point you make IS moot, seeing as we actually ASKED Ill and he confirmed our pick. Intangibility simply is not banned. Neither is durability. Our pick is legal, and not over the caps. Simple as that.
And I agree in the fact that Spider-Man would have hard time beating Shaw. It's really not the first time he has fought someone with intangibility, though.
And you guess what else? There is no freaking way Shaw could defeat Spider-Man either. Spidey could literally dance circles around Shaw all day and he could not do nothing. That puts them in the same power class. And you know what the first rule says?
This will be a Spider-Man/Low Meta Tier Tournament. The characters do not need to be less powerful than Spider-man himself, simply in the same power class. There is no cap on how powerful your amalgamation can be. The limits are simply on the individual members of your roster prior to amalgamation.
He isn't above caps. He is simply a smart pick.
And Spider-Man level opponents certainly have many ways of defeating Shaw. Intangibility doesn't mean that you are immune to everything.
