OK, then no questions regarding Sage issue. Unless Ill has something else to add.
I'm not going to be all "ban'em" till I see judges' view of the situatuon.

That's the point of this thread. I've heard a lot of "OH NOEZ" thrown around, but very little concrete proof.

Should have gone back a page.

and finally, I managed to get scans of Spot's powers.

There's no way to detect them, he can make them appear anywhere he wants, he can immobilize people with them, he's got global range, and he can even use them as a shield or a defense screen.

*sighs heavily*. I saw your post. I don't know where you got the impression that throwing scans in someones face was a proof technique, but I can assure you that you won't make it very far in this tournament if you believe that it is.

If you're asked to prove that the square of an even number is even, throwing a math textbook in that person's face is not an acceptable method of proof.

So, let's try this again. Your hypothesis is that Spot is above the tournament caps.

Prove.

It.

Soljer, and the same man insists on keeping Jotaro, when only TWO (or four to be really generous) characters out of whole tournament roster can PROBABLY see his invisible indestructible stance.
A major case of hypocrisy.

Two things:

What's the cap on duplication? Second, why are we allowing duplication? That's one of the cardinal sins of past tourneys that we've eliminated due to massive loopholes. This should be a 3-on-3 tourney, not 3-on-12.

Also, the "only use a person's resources once" rule is fine, I just don't want people using Spot to teleport nukes in for every fight or some sh*t. BFR should also be outlawed. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with Spot.

I thought I told you in PM?

The cap on any sort of independent construct is three. No more than three characters (your team) and three constructs at a time.

He create a shield that no one here can counter. He BFR all prep and weapons. He's almost immune to most forms of attack. He's undetectable until he enters our dimension. He can trap people halfway into a spot and there's no way to get away from that. A no-CIS spot is at least mid meta. Hell, even with CIS, he's still too powerful for low meta.

You're just whining cause you didn't think of it first. 😛 And if you bothered to read JJBA, you'd know how to beat stands and their weaknesses. Hell, I'll even give you a website with scans of all the issues if you want. 😉

If you read Superman, you know that Red Solar Radiation and Kryptonite are severe weaknesses he has, and he's often been beaten by either.

Can I draft Clark now?

What's the latest on accepted/banned characters? I just looked at the first couple of pages and there's quite a few disputable folk in those lineups .... and since I can't be bothered reading 30 pages it'd be helpful if someone could summarise things for me.

No ones actually been banned yet - you have to get eighty percent of the participants votes in order to get a character elected for consideration with the judges. At that point, the three 'main' judges will rule, and, if banned, that team will have at most one day to pick a new, allowable, character.

I was differentiating between constructs and duplication...didn't know it was the same thing.

But with duplication, it's not 3 characters, 3 constructs (I have no problem with the construct rule). It's 3 characters and....3 MORE characters, each as powerful as the amalgamated character with duping powers.

I believe, barring official amendment from Ill, that is the letter of the law, so to speak.

I find duping a little unbalanced as well, but maybe Ill believes it balances itself out somehow?

Then stop hating. durfist

And I've been against duping from the beginning. I think it's a bad idea that creates clusterfucks.

Amalgamate Madrox with 2 other characters, duplicate yourself, and now you have the equivalent of 6 characters (the other two characters x 3 dupes). Add in the other amalgamations and it's suddenly 5-on-3 in terms of bodies, and 9-on-6 in overall characters in the amalgams fighting each other.

It's insanely unfair. Those characters will roll through the tourney unless something is done.

Ok, what about Darkhawk? are they going with the original armour or the upgraded version of the armour ... because the later one was OTT.

OTT? They said original, I think.

Digi is right. Duping is massively unfair at this level.
