Luke's skills were at a level lower than that of a PT jedi knight.
He could barely beat vader if it wasn't for his anger.
While Maul took on two jedi, while having a thigh injury (so i've heard.) Maul would destroy Luke. Lukes force powers!? He had hardly started to develop them by then.
