The Sentry's powers are based on his mental state, so the lack of consistency is inevitable. Its like when a footballer looses his confidence on the field and becomes a shadow of the potential player he can be. At his peak Sentry is at the Top of the food chain.

I agree about the comments about Ares ressurection. Its been implied recently that Ares maybe the personification of some kind of Platnic form of Idealism. I.e. In a higher plane of reality, Ideas and Modalic entities are one in the same. As Ares is the incarnation of such a powerful concept, he's likely to be as Immortal as the concept itself. If this is the case Ares and the other goda maybe as powerful, if not more powerful than the Sentry, However its also been hinted that Sentry/Void maybe the Angel of death, or some kind of representative of Gods wrath (Like the Spectre). If these characters do gain their powers by these metaphysical means, u have to realize they don't work in the same way as a car, a bomb or a tank- which are limted by the laws of nature. Its clear that they are limited by the laws nature, hence their restricted power. But they transcend them. Its like when u play a computer game like pacman. Although you are limited by the laws f the computer game, u cannot actually be harmed by it. Lie Neon in the matrix u can always find a way to perfect your abilities, bend and break youre restrictions. This is analogous to finding cheats for a computer game. Finding the cheats allows u overcome the standard restrictions of the game. BTW this is only the case, If the Greek and Norse Gods are Incarnations of metaphysical concepts, that transcend reality.

At Sentry's peak he is far from on top of the food chain I'm sorry. Not even his greatest feat makes him on top of the food chain. Marvel is just squeezing what should have been years worth of feats, into weeks and months rushing him to fast when he's not really that high up there.

When I say top of the food chain, Im referring to the characters I actually give a shit about-who could be used to make an interesting storyline. I don't care about the power levels of anyone beyond Galactus, becasue they don't really have any form of characterization. They're usually just bland re-interpretations of the classical Theistic God, in a sense that they are completely unknowable. I have no affiliation to the them, so I tend to just Ignore. In regards to what I meant with this claim. I think Sentry is potentially the most powerful being around at the moment sub Galacatus. And this statement ignores various of the wired cosmic entities that I couldn't really give a shit about.

Lol are you serioius? Sentry one of the most powerful heros sub galactus? I think you've fallen into the hype to lol. Sentry is no where near as close to characters like Thor, Silver Surfer Thanos and all others in that category. Truth is Sentry hasn't had a real fight yet and he's been exgerrated. He's beatting molecule man is his greatest feat and marvel had to give him new powers to do this. Sentry would get demolished in a fight with some one like Galactus or mephisto or ego the living planet unlike lets say Thor foe example who has beaten Galactus beaten go twice or more and even beaten Mephisto in his own realm. He couldn't even taken on Hercules while he was playing around with him.

Thor beats on the likes of Thanos, Galactus and Ego. Sentry barely makes it out from Molecule mans attack and catches him off guard and his hype goes up again. I don't even have to mention Silver Surfer. He is way out of Sentrys leageu if you actually think he is on par with a guy like Surfer your new to comics, haven't read a silver Surfer comics or your just a Sentry fanboy. Only reasonable explanation. By the way provide proof that he is way beyond any of the three please?

Yes we all know Sentry power level is based on his psyche. So is every other damn hero. When Thor loses his Temper its warriors madness. When Silver Surfer loses his temper he destroyers a planet with a blast. When gladiator loses his temper he can destroyer a planet with three hit. What makes Sentry so special? He is more bi polar then this psyche thing they keep trying to bring up. Sentry admits during world war hulk he wasn't holding back and he doesn't have to. So there you saw him at his greatest. When Superman said this to Doomsday day does that mean he wasn't holding back still? What makes Sentry more different. What you don't understnad is Sentry is at his top level the only thing he is doing is gaining powers not becoming more powerful the only people that consider him so powerful are his little gang. Absorbing man laughed at him second time around and Thor ***** slaped him with his hammer not even paying him much attention. No I don't think of comics anything outside of fiction. The people that do that are you who try to hype characters when hype isn't needed. I can think of any random feat for my fav characters like its nothign with Sentry you have to go back to his first encoutner in issue so and so and look back at his exact words and just what he did. Anyway the easiest way to end this is to show proof Sentry is in a leauge with the likes of Thor silver and Herc and show how he is way more powerful He has yet to demonstrate 1,000,000 suns powers. Thor demonstrated 1,000 blazing suns one time against Surtur, and 1,000,000 against his first encounter with the enchancters and he never has to brag about it.

So like every other Sentry fan you ignore the "Show me the proof of power level" and skip right the to saying I'm wrong. Okay I'm use to that every other Sentry fan has done it your not different lol. Why use statistic in comics? Just show sentry resisting the weight of a score of planet, show him surviving a sun exploding while he is in the middle, show him holding up the heavens for three hours straight, if not then this is done Sentry isn't on the same level as Thor, Hercules, or Gladiator.
