I mean I accept that that is what he'll look like for the movie, but I am never going to like it. It conflicts IMO with the very core of who the Joker is.
yeah same here.the BATMOBILE I was able to adjust to,but this joker look is just something i could NEVER adjust to.It wont ruin the movie for me but it will give me the same feeling the first film did with the look of the new batmobile.that we were given a cake but they forgot the icing and we werent given the best possible cake we could have got, which is the case with these two movies.
Yeah I feel like they did too much trying to be different. Like they just went over the line for no reason. They knew he didn't look a damn thing like the Joker when they finished making him up but they thought it was edgy and cool.
Only IMO, it's not, lol.
I mean like what Tim Burton did to the Penguin but at least Tim Burton changed that character's background to match what he looked like and didn't expect us to believe this was the same Penguin from the comic books who looked like a sewer dweller.

I like the look, it's a different type of Joker for a different type of Batman movie. And like how they changed the origin of the Penguin in the Tim Burton movie they are changing the origin of the Joker in this movie....I think it fits well with the type of movie they are going with.

from this post is sounds you have seen the movie already?
When Sir. Michael Caine and Gary Oldman(two of the greatest actors of our/all time) praise Ledger's Joker(Gary even laughed at the question if he though Heath did better than Jack, followed by the answer: "yes, better than Jack"😉, and with what we've seen so far...it's kinda hard not to agree with them...unless you've decided in your mind before the movie has come out that you dislike his performance.

BUT, as I've said before, either Sir. Michael Caine and Gary Oldman, two of the greates actors of all time, are WRONG, OR certain people have made up their minds about Heath's performance before the film has come out.
...it appears to SOME that it's ok to frown upon Heath's look and performance before the film has come out, but it's NOT ok to praise his performance before the fiilm has come out...seems strange to me.
If you're going to dismiss Heath's performance and look prior to the film's release, it seems only fair that certain people praise it before the film's release..no?
Or am I just crazy?
I haven't dismissed his performance but I have seen ample pictures of his appearance for months now and I think he looks crummy however I did say that if Nolan gave some kind of plausible explanation for why he looks like that that ties into the character I might be more open. But for now he's just needlessly filthy looking.
Hmmm...but we've seen just as much of his appearance as we have his performance...my point being, people are going to have their opinions, love or hate for either...and that's perfectly fine. Though, I don't think you're really arguing with that fact.
Either way, I'll shut up considering it has little to do with the title of the thread.
