"I am Dak Kaliero. And soon... I shall rule this planet. I'm sorry you won't be around to see it."

With that, Dak will drive a saber through the soldier's chest.

Wraith will Defend once more before he moves in and attacks...

The Arnian soldier's face gives a shocked expression before going lax with his death.

-

Their light blaster carbines buzz away as bolt after blue bolt zips towards and by you, most easily deflected by your Defensive stance, but with a few close calls that cause you to exert yourself to block them. 11 damage.

Wraith: 0/17/11

Arnians x8: 0/13

Wraith, stop sucking!

Dak deactivates his saber and replaces it in his gauntlet. Anything useful to be taken from the bodies?

Wraith closes a single frame, then snaps an attack with his lightsaber, cutting down the nearest Arnian trooper with a quick swipe through his chest cavity.

A 12 sees to it that that Arnian trooper causes you no more trouble, Wraith.

Initiative is still yours, and your Force pool has replenished.

-

Depends on what approach you want to take when you get to the central mining station.

They are wearing uniforms, though most are bloodied or torn by ice spikes. They were carrying blaster carbines, a few grenades each, and dim blue glowrods.

Wraith takes a minute to focus himself, activating Sidestep to reduce incoming damage.

Then, Wraith whisks his way through three of the Arnian troopers with a Flying Charge, strafing between the soldiers and cutting them down with wide slashes of his lightsaber.

He follows up by throwing his lightsaber by way of Reaction, throwing himself prone as his lightsaber twirls back through the enemies he has just run past, aiming to cut down another two.

I think I'll take some grenades, and a couple glowrods.

With that, Dak will head for the main pit.

The tunnels are all made of opaque white ice, smooth-walled and cylindrical, leading deeper into the ice-based crust of Arnia. There is no earth in the ice, though there is the occasional ore vein that you can spy through transparent sections of the ice. The glowrods are your only source of light, in this part of the mines.

But you spy a light ahead. This tunnel ends in a junction point, with an electronic sign and an overhanging light.

-

Wraith slashes an opponent in two as he flies by, but a 3 and a 1 are hardly enough to end your other opponents. In your rush, you miscalculate the distance between yourself and your targets, and you fail to cut them down.

But then you turn about and throw your lightsaber, sending it twirling with a 3 and a 13. With your level in Carnival of Carnage and the natural MKP of a lightsaber, the 3 is a kill! And the 13 is also. Consider it revenge on those two targets you missed.

Their shots do not come close, this time.

Well, what's the sign say?

Dak looks warily around.

Wraith snaps his lightsaber across another trooper, then snaps it across another.

The sign marks the tunnels. It indicates that the right-hand tunnel is the way you need to go to reach the Main Pit.

Wait... you sense someone coming.

-

Again, your snapped strikes end the lives of the Arnian troopers, leaving you with two...

But they don't intend to stand and fight. They try to run to find reinforcements.

Not wanting to waste his energy and no longer worried about being heard, Wraith quick-draws his blaster pistol and places a shot apiece into the backs of the cowardly Arnians.

Snap those, as well.

Anywhere to hide?

Not enough time.

From a side tunnel comes running a froggish figure wielding an unorthodox weapon.

"Put 'em up!" Ker'Raos says, aiming the kinetic rifle. "And drop your... weapons..."

Noticing the lightsabers strapped to your wrists, Ker'Raos lowers the weapon. "Oh, it's you. Sorry about that. I, uh, had some trouble back in the tunnel. No offense, but you are one of them... an Arnian, I mean."

-

Bam! The first shot hits him straight on, sending him collapsing on his face as the bolt obliterates his spine. But the second shot only sends the other stumbling as it hits his shoulder.

He starts to put some distance between you and him, but a level in Eagle Eye solves that problem. I assume you'll fire again... a 17 sees to it that he won't be letting anyone know about you before you're ready. A bolt to the back of the head sends him collapsing into the snow.

Satisfied with his handiwork, Wraith holsters his pistol and extinguishes his lightsaber and proceeds to the entrance that the troopers had found for him.

Dak nods. "No offense at all, of course. Just, uh... glad you looked before pulling the trigger."

"I was told the rebel miners are in the main pit. Haven't seen Wraith, have you?"

"Can't say that I have, no," Ker'Raos replies, slinging the rifle over his back. "But if I got down here, he will too, or I'm not a singing frog..."

Sure enough, Wraith, the former main entrance to the mines takes you to the ill-used junction where Ker'Raos and Dak discuss your whereabouts.

Dak looks up as Wraith approaches. "Took you long enough. Problems?"

"About ten of 'em," Wraith replies, "but not now. Dealt with them by way of aggressive negotiations."

Wraith will step off towards the right-hand tunnel that leads to the main pit. "You two coming?"
