Annie didnt pwn Mace. him chopping off Maces arm was the ultimate suckerpunch.

I guarantee you that if Mace had seen it coming, he'd have blocked it, killed Palpy, then outdueled Anakin.

what I had hoped to see was Mace versus Dooku. Mace would have won, but it would have been good.
