Kick sand, Kyle! I've got a plan!

Satisfied that Two-Guns here has Corl distracted, Eerin is going to help out his Captain. Assuming that the gunshots that took out the Weequay will distract Ahaz with enough time for Kyle to get the hell away from the bounty hunter, Eerin runs towards them and launches a pair of proton rockets at the bounty hunter.

Put a Fortune point in that.

(Oh, hell yeah! kyle will kick as hard as he can. If Ahaz is still close enough, I'll kick him, otherwise, the sand.)

Flinching violently in spite of himself, Kyle realises immediately what is happening. The moment Ahaz's attention goes to the new player, Kyle kicks out violently with both feet and then rolls away from Ahaz.

(If he can gain his feet, he'll head for Eerin.Picking up his gun first, of course.)

Sand will get better results.

Digging your foot into the ground, you kick it up and with it a cloud of sand that temporarily blinds Ahaz as he rubs it from his eyes. Snatching up your pistol (awkardly, as your hands are about crotch-level with the bindings), you somehow manage to get to your feet and stumble away just as the rockets come streaking in...

Ahaz is not expecting the rockets and does not dive clear when they impact on the ground near him. An 18 rolled, Eerin! The Fortune point maxes the Outcome and he takes a fierce 22 points of damage, the explosion knocking him off of his feet and giving Kyle room to run!

(And run he will! Let the newcomers sort out Ahaz.)
"Eerin! What took you so long? Let's get outta here!"

"[Let's just say I wasn't strong enough to pull the ears off of this Gundark...]" Eerin says, gasping for air as he dashes along with his Captain, heading away from the fight scene as quickly as they can. If anyone should appear or reappear that Eerin does not like, he will snuff them with the rocket launcher...

As you leave the scene, the stranger with twin blasters is keeping his distance from the Gundark, moving along the buildings as the beast tries to scale them and putting out shots as he moves.

Ahaz scrambles to his feet and begins defending himself from his assailants with his energy shield, the echoing sound of rifle cracks letting you know that your savoirs are using sniper rifles to drive him off.

You hustle down one street, onto another, down that one and onto another, getting yourself lost in Mos Eisley. Or at least you would be lost if Kyle didn't know his way around so well.

You've ended up on Straight Street, crowded with people even in the late afternoon. It is more or less one of the main streets in Mos Eisley, connected to Inner Curved Street by Kerner Plaza and from there Dune Street. There is also a small Imperial garrison here and the wreckage of the Dowager Queen, the colony ship that crash landed here and accidentally founded Mos Eisley.

Okay, Kyle, here's what I think we should keep in mind.

- Obviously we're wanted men for... something. Maybe we could investigate why there are bounty hunters trying to bring us in?

- On that same note, we need to keep an eye out for bounty hunters. We can't handle them right now, not with how battered we are.

- Hyperdrive! Reading back, we're looking for Zibwan's parts shop. Might be around here somewhere, hopefully.

- Get in touch with Eol so we can get a ride back to our ship.

Eerin will keep on the lookout for any offensive actions toward him and his charge.

(We're probably wanted for all that smuggling we've been doing. Remember, this isn't the first time this story we've been jumped by a bounty hunter. First, I'd like to find a place to heal a bit. For one thing, we can barely defend ourselves at this point, so if we're going to keep looking for stuff, we've got to be in better shape. Also, Mos Eisley isn't full of good looking, well dressed people, but two near-dead smugglers are going to stand out. Let's find a doctor or med pak or something, then go after the hyperdrive. Rex, does Kyle remember any good healers or pharmacies around here?
Also, Eerin, the person(s) who saved us are very likely to be catching up with us for either good or bad, so let's keep that in mind as well.)

Kyle walks along with Eerin, scanning the place looking for danger. When his gaze swings to his partner, he comments, "You look terrible. We should try to find a place to lie low for a bit. We're in big trouble if any more 'issues' pop up."

You have had bounty hunters try to track you for smuggling, Kyle, but this seems to be almost ridiculous. You are not the Empire's Most Wanted; thugs shouldn't be eager to pick up guns to slug at you.

Quality medical equipment is hard to come by on Tatooine, Kyle. Any such thing would be privately owned or operated. You would have to search around.

But you are right about one thing. The blaster-burned, wire-wrapped man stumbling down the street in the company of a bloodied, rocket-wielding insectoid is a strange sight and many people take note of you.

(Oops, forgot about the wire.)
Kyle notices the curious stares they're drawing from onlookers and remembers that he's still partly packaged for shipment. "Ugh! Eerin get this stuff off me. Then maybe we should duck down a side astreet for a bit."

Squeezing past dozens of people and sales stands, you manage to duck down into an alleyway beside yet another seedy cantina. Though the occasional person passes through the alley, you get a moment to free Kyle from his bindings and collect your thoughts.

"Kyle stretaches painfully once he if freed. "Thanks, that's better. A little anyway. What do you think about the guy that spring us? Was he trying to be helpful, or did he think he deserved our money more than Ahaz did? Did you get a good look at him?"

"[I did]," Eerin says, "[but I'm not sure I recognize him. I also wasn't sure what he had to gain by that. I mean, he didn't do much to keep us from escaping... and to be honest, with the state we're in, that wouldn't have been hard.]"

He could have had any reason at all for letting you get away.

Time is passing.

Kyle looks at Eerin, "Now what? THink it's safe to move on, try to find that parts shop?"

"[It should be]," Eerin says, painfully getting to his feet after having slumped down by a wall. He reaches down and helps his Captain up. "[I want to get out of this town as soon as possible, so let's hit that parts shop and contact Eol.]"

Eerin will head down the alleyway ahead of Kyle to check things out.

The marketplace of Straight Street is still bustling with activity when you step out into it after a resting period. A wide variety of things can be bought here, from exotic foods to illegal blaster weapons, from slaves to starship parts. All imported.

You spot a sign that reads 'Zibwan's Parts & Junk' in Huttese. This was the place that had been suggested to you by the cantina patron.

Down the street, there is a small commotion. You are too far away to tell what it is just yet.

"Kyle nods his thanks as Eerin helps him up. He grins in appreciation as Eerin, ever the protector, lead the way. As banged up as Kyle, and he still puts himself in harm's way.
Walking along, he notices the commotion and taps Eerin. "You don't suppose..?"

"[I'm not sure]," Eerin says. "[Wait here]."

Eerin will try to mingle with the crowd, moving toward the commotion to see what is going on. He stays low as to not be seen.

The commotion is a certain bounty hunter marching angrily down Straight Street, asking passersby if they have seen two injured smugglers, one human and the other Geonosian, heading through this area. Several are gesturing down the street toward you...!
