STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Hunter

"Just a little matter I need to clear up with him. Nothing important" Rylis says to the Twi'lek.

I want to follow that guy...

The Twi'lek assumes correctly that you are hunting him, but you take your leave of him.

Stepping out of the cantina, you see the man walking down the street.

The wind has grown rather fierce since you went indoors.

Stupid wind...

Rylis will keep an eye on the man and follow behind him, hopefully keeping him from noticing her.

You notice that the streets are less crowded than they were earlier as you pursue him. The wind continues to grow in force.

Someone shouts "Sandstorm!" before ducking into another one of the pubs in the area. The man looks about before doing likewise, moving into an apartment complex nearby.

Does Rylis have a helmet?

Nope. Enough time for her to get back to her ship, or is she going to have to find somewhere else to hide out?

Most places are shutting their doors as the sandstorm starts to roll through, but the cantina you just left has remained open. There is also the apartment complex that the man just entered, not far ahead of you.

You would be blind by the time you reached your ship, unfortunately.

Apartment complex, I think...

You head into the apartment complex by a side door.

The complex is a four-sided building. It is not enclosed, but the wind is broken by the high walls. The sandstorm howls past you in the doorway.

There are six rooms per wall, three per floor, a grand total of twenty-four rooms. In the center is a dusty courtyard featuring an abstract sculpture... or maybe it's just some scrap metal.

Any sign of the guy?

None. Any tracks he may have left in the sand are either swept away by the wind or mingled with other indistinguishable footprints.

The sandstorm continues to thrash about Mos Eisley as the twin suns begin to dip towards the horizon, casting a purple-red hue into the sky. Tatooine sunsets are killer, after all.

Soon the sandstorm will subside and you are free to meet up with Snith.

Yay phantom edit...😛

Once the storm has died down enough for Rylis to go back out safely, she will do so and meet up with Snith.

You meet up with Snith back at the starport.

"I don't think Kyle is in Mos Eisley," Snith reports. "Weird, that. He'll probably turn up here eventually, but until then? We'll have to wait for morning to see what the computer says about the homing beacon..."

With night falling, you have two options. You may stay aboard your vessel for the night, or Snith has rented a room for two at a nearby inn.

...

😂

I think Rylis will stay on her ship 😛

"Well, if we have to wait for morning for anything, then that's that for the night. I'm guessing that if he left the planet your beacon would have picked up that?"

"Oh yeah, definitely," Snith replies. He seems put out at you turning down his offer, but he leaves it at that. "G'night, huntress. Until tomorrow."

Snith heads off for the inn. His fighter is far too small to comfortably rest in.

Makrus has left another message on your comm system when you get back to the Crimson Dawn. To sum it up, he says that he has yet to look into anything on Snith.

Rylis will send a reply basically saying to not get killed worrying about finding out anything (only half-joking 😛), and then lock up the ship and settle in for the night.

What little rest you are able to obtain will help with your poisoning in the long run. Otherwise, you rest very little and you feel drained when you are awoken at some point during the night by a pounding on the hull.

"What?" Rylis snaps angrily, as she goes to see who woke her, her blaster out and ready.

Why, it's good old Snith, come to tell you that the Cold Hard Wit has located the Last Laugh!

"What's with the blaster?" he asks, scratching his head.

"What, do you think I trust any of the scum on this planet? And don't you think this could have waited for morning?" Rylis replies, still not lowering or putting away her blaster. "Where is he, then?"

"You never know, he could run off before morning," Snith says. "I know I wouldn't stay here long unless I had business. Come with me, I've got the stuff at my ship..."
