STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Trials

(Ah so this isn't the big Pirate ship ok)

"Then yes let's go out and deal with anybody that is left and see about moving on from here."

Nope! It was actually a smaller raiding ship. Still, it is a teeny bit bigger than Senator Wojaine's vessel, with far better shielding and heavier weapons. It needs to, if it wants to be able to disable ships without being blasted apart itself.

Jan offers to patch you up, Xavier, for some of your blaster burns. Cabas finally accepts Jan's offer as well, applying bacta to his open shoulder wound. Jan knocks 15 damage off of you both, but much of Cabas' healing comes from his brief meditative rejuvenation that he performs while waiting for Jan's security team to be ready. He removes another 10 points of damage from himself. This leaves you at 34 and Cabas at 55.

One of the security guards must stay behind, as he nearly died and is recooperating. The other guards are all patched up.

"Thank You," Xavier tells Jan. He stands by Master Cabas.

"Shall we go then," Xavier says.

After a moment of pause, the security team is ready. Jan has snatched up Yorrik's assault rifle, returning his lighter weapon to its holster.

"We're set," Jan says. "Lead the way."

"Keep your senses open, Padawan," Cabas reminds you. He keeps his lightsaber in hand, ready to activate.

What's the order here? Is Xavier going to be ambitious and lead or will Cabas go first with all his wisdom and ability to defend?

Xavier will allow Master Cabas to lead because he is the logical choice for now.

Before you even step through the blasted door, Cabas brings you all to a halt.

"They've retracted the platform," Cabas alerts you. "Our starship is in the hangar bay, but below us is empty space. They boarded using some sort of platform..."

You can see past him, Xavier. The hangar is very rusted, but they have a control station. There are a few pirates on the deck, but only a handful. You can see the platform, which had been lowered down from the ceiling of the hangar and locked into place. It's now back on the ceiling.

Would Xavier be able to use Master Jump to get up there?

It might be possible...but too difficult. You wouldn't want to take that chance. Finding a way to make things easier might be more in your interests.

IS there anything to jump between the heights, or better yet is there anything to climb up there?

There is the extendable ramp that the Senator's starship possesses. It could very plausibly shorten the distance.

Otherwise, you could very easily climb atop the ship and jump up to the top of the hangar and go from there.

Xavier will climb the top of the ship, and then Master jump towards the control station.

Climbing atop the ship actually doesn't get you nearer to the control station, but it allows you to reach that extendable platform they used to board you in the first place. From there, you walk along to the side of the hangar that has an actual floor and is not empty space. The control station is just ahead of you.

The pirates inside can see you through the transparisteel window, and are reaching for blasters...

Xavier will draw his Lightsaber and use Blur to cover the remaining distance between him and the Pirates.

It is actually a Jump between you and the window, but either way, you crash through easily and onto the control panels. There are four pirates with pistols, all aimed at you. They do not fire.

Xavier does not wait for them to fire as he uses Twirl on the nearest two.

Defend for defense.

Your blade flashes across the chests of two, killing one of them instantly and injuring the other. The other two flee, firing ill-aimed shots off as they dash out of the room.

The man you injured collapses to the floor, dropping his pistol.

"Please, don't!" he pleads, putting a hand up as if to block your sword.

Xavier looks at the man and the he sees him. Xavier can smell the rotten breath coming from this man's gasping chest. He can hear his cries of mercy. The reaction of the various stimuli almost causes Xavier to dash his blade forward.

STOP! Xavier thinks to himself. This is not logical this man can better used alive. Besides killing him defenseless is against the jedi code.

Xavier breathes in as he let's his mind take control of his body. He reaches down and using one hand lifts him from the floor, pushes him to the control panel.

"Open the Platform now," Xavier orders. He places his lightsabre next to the man's ear so the humming can be a reminder to do it right.

The pirate, one hand pressed to his wound, does as asked. Fiddling with the controls, he lowers the platform into place and makes the hangar accessible to those onboard the Spearhead.

When finished, the pirate remains still, unsure what to do.

Cabas leads the security team across the platform and onto the hangar floor, lightsaber hilt in hand but not on. Jan has Yorrik's assault rifle raised up. The pirates in the hangar have their guns trained on Jan and Cabas and company, but do not fire.

"Listen up!" Jan shouts. "We've got Jedi and we're not afraid to use 'em! They've killed your commanding officer, Yorrik. You will yield to us or follow him to the grave!"

Xavier holds his saber up to the man's throat.

"Move and you die," Xavier speaks coldly. He then looks down to see what the rest of the Pirates do.

Jan has said the wrong thing. Informing them all that Yorrik has been killed only angers a great deal of them. Some of them falter, but the majority look about ready to squeeze off shots.

Cabas steps forward, setting his lightsaber hilt at his feet.

"We do not seek a battle," Cabas says, lowering his arms to his side. "Outlaws though you are, my purpose is not to slaughter you all like animals. That is absurd. What I seek is unhindered passage to Alemania. If I must fight you for this, I will, but I would rather not."

Some of the pirates lower their weapons, while the most fierce keep this weapons raised and ready to shoot.

"Let it not be said that I did not offer Yorrik his life," Cabas continues. "He knew that Jedi would accompany the Senator, did he not?"

A few nods grant Cabas a confirmation.

"Then he foolishly led your friends to their deaths."
