Cabas smiles.
"Very good, Padawan," Cabas says. "No notice will be taken of a battered old pirateship landing on an empty world."
"Oh, the Senator's guests won't be pleased," Jan groans. "I'll never hear the end of it..."
"Consider it a security matter, sir. The Senator could be in grave danger if Svidrigailov suspects what has happened to his lieutenant is our doing, acting for the Senator's protection."
"Very true," Jan says. "But what then? Where would we fly from to Almania?"
"Is there no starport?"
"Yes, but it'd be odd for the Senator to show up in the capitol riding a settler's scrap-worthy transport."
Cabas seems to not have considered this.
"And what about our pirate friends? They're not our captives."
(By the way, I have been typoing the world's name- it's Almania, not Alemania, which is the Spanish word for Germany...buuut that's actually the basis of Almania's name...)
"Could work. Have it sent from Pydyr, or somethin'. Yeah, could work..."
Cabas addresses Teelund.
"I want you to understand that you are not our prisoners," Cabas says. "We could fight you, but I doubt we could contain you. It is also inconvenient to try to do so."
"I see," Teelund says. "What of it?"
"If you will deposit us onto the surface of Auyebesh as stealthily as possible, you are free to go."
Teelund nods.
"The Republic is willing to...persuade you not to return to Svidrigailov. It is essential; name your price and you will have it."
Teelund smiles. "How do I know you will hold your end of the bargain?"
"You have my word. The Republic will compensate you..." Cabas waves his hand subtley, "...and you will not return to Svidrigailov because of it."
"The Republic will compensate me," Teelund replies, slightly confused. "No reason to return to Svid, then. Thank you, Master Jedi. Auyebesh, you said?"
Cabas nods. "Auyebesh."
"Help me prepare the Senator and his guests for a short trek on Auyebesh," Cabas says. "And Jan? When we touch down on the moon, get word to Pydyr to have a ship meet us at the starport."
"Aye," Jan says.
Shortly after, Teelund gives the orders for the Ravaging Claw to make the jump to hyperspace, carrying you towards Almania and its moons once more.
It seems that Cabas eventually gave up rewiring the Senator's door to lock it. It was welded shut by lightsaber, and Cabas has to cut him out again.
"You've ruined my door!" the Senator fumes.
"Spearhead is too damaged to be repaired," Cabas says. "It is of no consequence."
"But you ruined my door!"
"Are you sober?"
The Senator grumbles to himself.
The rest of the entourage, while annoyed at the prospect of having to trek across the dirty surface of uncivilized Auyebesh, are made to understand that it is a security procedure and that they could all be in danger if they do not comply.
The Ravaging Claw drops out of hyperspace near Auyebesh, a sparkling green ball. Below it, Almania's gray orb floats tiredly, twinkling with the light of cities.
Similar to the stark grayness of Almania, the moon Pydyr creeps out from behind it, though with far more twinkles of civilization comparatively. The last moon is still hiding.
Moving at the safest sublight speed for entry, the Ravaging Claw swoops down into the atmosphere of Auyebesh, eventually dropping down onto a hill in the low country, a few klicks from the starport. For as far as you can see, tall grass waves in the warm night breeze.
"Be on the lookout for creatures," Jan says, looking off to the horizon. "Auyebesh doesn't have the monsters of Drewwa, but there's some fierce things out there in the fields."
"Better cautious than dead," Cabas says. "Xavier, keep your senses open."
The Ravaging Claw, hovering above the hill, releases the ruined Spearhead from its grip, depositing it roughly onto the hill. It is to be abandoned, for now. Senator Wojaine is displeased with this, but Cabas reminds him that this is all his fault and he falls quiet.
After Teelund gets contact information from Cabas, the Ravaging Claw rockets away into Auyebesh's night sky.
Cabas suggests that the Jedi lead the column of Senatorial advisors, keeping close watch on the Senator himself, while Jan and his security team tail the group to watch for anything from behind. Jan concurs and heads to the back.
"Off we go, then," Cabas says, stepping down the hill and into the thick brush.
In the tall grass, you can barely see anything. It is only through your senses that you are able to choose your path through the grass forest. Now and again you sense life passing by, near you, but never coming close. They always scamper away, though part of you wishes they would come closer and test themselves against you.
Soon you are on the outskirts of the starport, a small backwater outpost where a few cargo ships are docked, as well as another Senatorial craft of Almania, very similar in design to the Spearhead.
