Which is that it's TK then the holy overrides him. The Holy is materia though, how can it decide to help. Aeris only prayed to the planet....
Actually that thing is simple just something his true body was encased in, Aeris has Holy, but is unable to use it because of Sephiroth.. Holy is the most powerful materia that is able to rip the planet apart in mere minutes, Sephiroth was holding back Holy with his will throughout the game yet was still capable of doing all of that, it is speculated that Holy gave the team strength to carry on and not give up as Sephiroth was torturing them.

well mainly, Nosgoth is his world, in the world the rule is that time is immutable, so no being that is not supposed to be in there will instantly be deleted, die or else
also Kain in Nosgoth cannot be beaten, he simply has to carry on his destiny and nothing stops him, especially in Nosgoth
in a VS fight elseware you could incapacitate kain, but here, you wouldnt be able to for long before he always recuperates

also Nosgoth is far cooler, full of cool races, Hellstorm is a world for potatoe babies like Pyron was before he became cosmic
