Sephiroth can defeat Kain. Only reason Raziel can is Spectrel Dimension.
But like I said, why would Sephiroth want to fight Kain, they can both just go around killing people.

without his time powers, Kain can be defeated by Seph. Seph has uber reactions and it takes a moment for the dimension shift to go back to the norm. Seph would use that moment to retreat or strike at Kain. But i'll say it again, why would Seph want to fight Kain.

Kain does have all his powers, he can shield himself and use time to destroy his enemies and dimension shift takes less than a second, likely far faster than sephrioth can mvoe to stop kain, and as if he can do anything to stop kain in that time, he has a split second to move and stop kain before kain is in another dimension

kain could shield himself while in another dimension and come back to the world with sephiroth in it invuelrable, Sephiroth kneels....

you know I've never seen this shield of his before.

kain reforms from anything, his is completely and utterly immortal..anytime he gets destroyed he comes back 😬

Well burning him to nothing still would count as a defeat in the usual KO rules.

kain would explode and reform before the burning had time to take effect....also, kain can use mist form to escape 😬

ummmmmm how does mist escape a blazing inferno? Mist would turn to nothing.

It would go on forever. Because Raziel just keeps coming back from the spectral when he is "killed" and Sephiroth could just keep one shotting him they would be locked in eternal combat.

1 shots then leaves

But when Raziel is spectral it is almost as if time freezes in the real world. Basically once you kill Raziel he pops up again nearly instantly, while from his perspective it takes a bit of time to reappear. Play Soul Reaver and you'll get what I'm talking about.
