They often use their speed in fights, it normally takes Surfer a while before he starts to scanning a targets weakness. Heck, as soon Surfer and Thor throw an energy blasts at Supes or Adam, will certainly cause them to use their combat speed, especially Surfer, since fighting from a distance is always what he does anyways.

Thor's speed pose a prblem for Surfer, so Supes and Adams speed will cause an even greater problem.

Surfer before the fight with his cosmic awarness know the weaknesses of Sups. In the first second, Sups is as feeble as a baby of 6 month. Thor go smash his head while Surfer give the beaing of his life to Black Adam.

Surfer analyzing Supes weakness wouldn't make a difference, Surfer only has one real weakness that he can use against Supes and that's k-nite. Someone already pointed out the red sun around Daxam that would unbalance this fight in favor of team 2 as Superman's powers begin to exhaust themselves.
That aside...
To make it seem like more of a team fight, Superman would probably attempt to take Surfer's initial blast to test his mettle (assuming no prior knowledge of either) but at the last moment the warrior king Black Adam either shoves Supes out of the way or takes the blast himself. He then explains to Superman that Surfer's move was too calculated and the blast had a touch of kryptonite to it. Then they move to blitzing speed. For the storyline of course.
