Odin vs Thanos (Neutral Ground)

Galactus is always hungry.

Sometimes he's starved, other time he's just very hungry.

He is ALWAYS hungry.

Thanos knew that he couldnt put him down with force. Yes to end the fight he needed the gun. It is common sense that he needed the gun. He could beat on Thor all day with the power gem and he would keep coming for him.

No, by your own words you said "Its common sense that you dont grab a weapon if you are that above your opponent." So by grabbing a weapon, Thanos was abmitting he wasn't that much above Thor at that point, according to you.

Does that also mean Thor is below virtually everyone he's ever fought since he uses Mjolnir?

Which means what exactly?

Nothing except make Galactus angry enough to almost one-shot Thanos.

Again he was losing but the outcome wasnt decided. If you ask your opponent to yield and he turns it down then the outcome hasnt been decided yet.

Much like Tyrant didn't win his second fight with Galactus, because Galactus hadn't given up yet, and the fight was interrupted, right?

Yes I never said he won but that he was winning.

This thread is purely about whether or not you choose to believe how powerful Thanos became after his last upgrade. Some feel it would put him over Odin and some feel it doesnt. There really is nothing else left to debate here.

Ok Thanos fighting Thor with the power gem was different. He needed the gun to put him down because otherwise Thor would have kept coming for him. He had the power gem.

Thor always fights with his hammer while Odin doesnt always fight with his weapon. 🙂

And according to you, Tyrant dominated Galactus in that fight. You've given zero credit to Galactus, yet you choose to give so much credit to Thanos against Odin when Odin dominated that fight more than Tyrant supposedly did.

So be it.

No, it wasn't different. Can you show me where it states Thanos knows Thor has the Power Gem before or during the fight?

It's still a weapon. He can fight just fine without it.

Yeah, disreharding the bullshit arguments, Odin wins this 10/10.

We do have one indication of his upgrade: pre-upgrade he could barely make Odin move, post-upgrade he can send Galactus flying.

Odin actually uses his sword most of the time.

So Thing and Thor are skyfather level bings? Btw, I don't see what's so impressive about sending someone with ambigous weight flying.

I'm sure that Thanos can make Odin fly if he suddenly fires off a beam at him, just like Odin could make Galactus fly if he did the same.

I know. Hence the reason I don't see it as some upper impressive feat.

Knocking something big over. Meh. It's not like the blast blew right through him...

😏

Whenever anyone has been able to harm Galactus on panel it has always been a starving or hungry Galactus.
Never a full power or well fed one like the one Thanos blasted.
It was an impressive feat.
We can speculate that others could do the same, but until another being (lower than Big G) harms or blast a full power/well fed Galactus on panel it stands as a very impressive rare feat.

It clearly says "he was well fed" on panel. What else would it imply other than letting the reader know he was at full power or at the very least powered up? It implies that so as far as the reader knows: He wasnt weak, hungery, starving, ect like the other instances that others have harmed him.
One thing is to be fed another thing is to be WELL fed.

Full power or powered up?

Galactus could devour countless galaxies and still not be at full power.
