It can make sense.

What if Odin thought he would have an easier time subduing Thanos with gungnir?

Its common sense that you dont grab a weapon if you are that above your opponent.

Not really.

As much as I'd love to continue discussing pantheon norms and the behaviour of Vikings, which I'm sure you know so much more about than me, I think it's time for you to join Alfheim on my ignore list.

So by your logic Thanos was not above Thor w/Power Gem since he pulled out a big gun to take him down.

Thanos knew that he couldnt put him down with force. Yes to end the fight he needed the gun. It is common sense that he needed the gun. He could beat on Thor all day with the power gem and he would keep coming for him.

Thats fine....I should have put you on the ignore list when you said that High Evolutionary was at Tyrant's level. 😂 😂

11 pages, how the hell did this go for 11 pages. Thanos is not fit to lace Odin's boots let alone stand up agaisnt him, close out of spite.

Odin didnt defeat him and they fought for a while. Odin was winning but Thanos has since been upgraded. 😛

Heres a newsflash, Odin wasnt trying.

He pulled out Gungir and was definitely trying. He saw Thanos as a huge threat and complimented him during the fight.

Why would he see him as a huge threat, there was no reason for him to even have motive to fight or kill him. Plus pulling out Gungir doesnt mean anything, Odin basically even said during the fight "do u quit" as to mean he was just toying with him to see how far Thanos will go with this. He could have ended the fight at any point he anted.

Thanos didnt lose that fight and has since become more powerful. He put Galactus on his ass and beat down the Maker.

No he didnt, he just annoyed Galactus...he even admitted this afterwards. Never mention Thanos and Galactus in the same sentence either plz...Thanos is no where near his level.

Thanos launched his ass. 😉

What the hell does Gungir have to do with anything. Not only does it not aid in incrasing Odin's power, his best feats wre don without it.

Who else has done this to a Galactus that wasn't hungry?

What does it matter? It's not like Galactus takes physical damage like that...

Hence why he was unaffected when Invisible Woman blew a hole straight through him.

Again he was losing but the outcome wasnt decided. If you ask your opponent to yield and he turns it down then the outcome hasnt been decided yet.
