You enter the farmhouse alongside Gabriel. You become aware immediately that its interior has not be tidied in some time. Dust is gathering on every surface and there are wrappers and clothes scattered about the place. This remains consistent with every room, and you can see footprints in the dust on the floor going every which way.
One of the Jenet meets you when you enter. He is short yet not stocky; he compensates for this with the pair of exquisite snub-nosed repeater pistols swinging in docker's clutches under his armpits.
"This way," he says gruffly.
He guides you upstairs, passing a HUGE Jenet on the way. Another guard, armed with a massive rifle. He eyes you warily and exchanges a few words with your shrimpy guide in their tongue.
The guide stops at a door on the farmhouse's highest floor.
"Do not attempt to touch or move close to the Elder," the small one says before knocking. A slim Jenet answers and both gesture for you to enter.
It happens.
You and your father move into the room, led by the slim Jenet, followed by the small Jenet and the large Jenet. You think you see a resemblance between the three Jenet men, mosty in their faces.
You are led to the far side of a spacious bedroom from which the bed has been removed. There many pelts and cushions piled on the floor, and upon them sits a wizened old man. His hair and beard are white and braided with tribal beads. He is naked but for a loin cloth. Incense burns around him and he has an assortment of pipes about him for smoking- hookahs, mostly, carved from wood and stone.
He has his sunken eyes closed, neary hidden by bushy eyebrows.
Before him, on a cushion, is the most beautiful rifle you have ever seen, ornately hand-crafted.
"Kalat Numan, you have visitors," the slim Jenet says.
The Kalat opens his eyes. "Ah, so I do." His eyes stare blankly before fixing on you. "A Jedi?"
The Kalat smiles.
"You seek an audience with me," the Kalat says. "Why is this so?"
"We are looking for one of my men," Gabriel says. "Adnan Valru. He has not reported in, and we are concerned. He should have come here to request a permit from you, Great Kalat."
The Kalat considers this slowly and appears to drift off to sleep.
As before, the Kalat drifts back.
"Eh..." he mumbles. "I believe he mentioned the marketplace. He had accusations that... some of my people have pawned off their guns..."
"Yes, we believe that to be the case," Gabriel says. "Has the colony had any other visitors?"
The Kalat drifts off but a newly arrived guest answers for him.
"They have," says Lord Fenring. "Me, of course!" He smiles. "What brings you to the colony?"
"CorSec business," Gabriel says. "To be discussed with the Kalat."
