So that's all well and good, but most of us have more than one plan for this tourney, depending largely on who we face. I could make a writeup too and post smug smilies ( 😛 ) but it would end up changing too much to make it worth teh effort right now.

The basic are their, simply adjust a few specifics here and their.

Either, way no point in writing to much. Most of the time, readers dismiss anything that is over explained. Though having an argument ready (with scans), for what might be called on.

That’s how I see, it. You have a plan, something seems funny looking. If the opponent calls you on it, can you back it up? Ultimately those are some massive deciding factor since, it grabbed the readers attention.

Well, it's not so much having to explain things at length, just that my plan changes depending on who I face. I don't have the same luxury as someone with only one plan. I have one main plan too (make Reed/Lex's inventions with the Doctor, do fancy stuff with Thor, etc.), but multiple variations off of it.

Am I the only one considerably more depressed now that Goob's not in this?

No offense to the other competitors, but he made things really interesting.

Well half the people in this tournament suck he was probably the best guy in it along with Digi and a few others.

Now theres people like Kandy to look forward to. 🙁

He shouldn't have made such a big deal about the chair.

Well, I'll be honest and say I'm considerably less excited about all this....not because I don't think there's still talent, but because everyone seems content to sh*t on the tourney now that goober's gone. And I don't mean AJ, because his opinion never really counts for anything. Nor am I targeting Soljer, because his comments up there are indicative of others' opinions.

We all liked him, and I consider him a friend, and we know that he is a quality opponent in tourneys, but it's still one person in the scheme of things. And at this point, it's almost assumed that everyone will label the tourney winner with an asterisk because of goob's absence, which is unfortunate because we don't really know what would've happened if goob had faced whoever wins the tourney (and I include myself in that tentatively because, despite my loss to him and his excellent debating, I was already anticipating possibly facing him again and so I held back a lot of goober-specific stuff so that he wouldn't have time to prepare for it later on). And I don't care whether or not it's me that wins (though I'd like to) but I hate to see this kind of dismissal because of him. There's been good matches, and there will be more.

In light of goober's situation, any tourney talk is obviously secondary in importance, but it shouldn't mean we dismiss it when there's still a lot of good tourney to be had.
