Ouch...he got you there id369.
I would take offense but….
1 - Its Shaman X-Man not Cable. (more power, more versatility to exploit).
2 - It isn’t a worn out Cable, but a fresh superior that would go off to crush the Surfer and not the Surf Board.
3 - More power, no human weaknesses.

You probably would have been better off pointing out that in that entire fight Cable's only acts that can be construed as offensive were putting Surfer on his ass and destroying his board with ease to make a point.
And also pointing out he was holding up a colony big enough that it would be considered a high end feat for someone like Superman straining himself to the max to pull off.

I was just generalizing, I didn’t want to bother with much emphasis on SS and Cable’s encounter (given the fact that Its Silver Surfer, and Cable. Two character that neither of us drafted for our teams). But you are completely right.
Before Silver Surfer’s encounter, Cable was not only levitating Providence 24/7, but was single handedly policing the world and applying world level TP/TK. Followed by the counter measures on the missile strike, Six Pack and X-Men invasion. Mind you this was with out rest.
I dare say, a fresh and prepared Cable would put up a better fight then the later.
If Cable actually tried to fight back, I'm fairly certain he would have destroyed the Surfer as easily as he did the board. IMO Cable was pretty much written far above your standard top tier at that point in his career, I never really paid much attention to Nate, but if he's as powerful as Cable then he'd probably smash the Surfer too.

Hahaha.
Wrong.
Yes, the Surfer turned a Cable who wanted to lose and wasn't fighting back off and not to mention his (Cable's) only offensive move was to effortlessly blow away his board to show how outclassed he was, good show. What's next, Thor turned Galactus away running like a girl fearing for her life
Game over

Many argue that Nate is superior to Cable as is, but clearly established since him and Alternate Nate merged to improve X-Man. Thus the Shaman Age. (lol 2x Nate or Nate 2.0)
Other point out, the became to powerful in the Shaman era, that he was needed to be written as a character that went protecting Earth from reality to reality. Well he did die, in the 616 reality saving the Earth from an unexpended cosmic energy lecher.
Regardless, its clearly established that he was still scratching the surface of his true potential. With his left hand he could shatter a city with a TK, with the right shatter another city with a psi blast. 2 hand gestures, was all it takes to destroy 2 cities on completely opposite sides of the world.

That is incorrect, Suffer comment is misinterpreted. He removed the T.O. mesh (hence the reason he needed a T.O. replacement) . Cable did not loose his powers, until the lobotomy took place.

surfer is the definition of "holding back".
He is also, lets talk things out first. Which was not demonstrated in Cable issue. We see a focused Surfer, exempting from conversing with anyone, and applying an action that would leave Cable to die if not aided.
