2-1 the match gets called unless trick hatches a new plan

What odds do you people give the Goob/Trick match at this juncture?

If Trick's prep is not ruled out, he should dominate the fight. However, I am doubtful this will come to pass. Apparently Goober has an army of Comic Powered, Super Adaptoid mock ups. If Trick prep fails, or does not provide a proper counter to disarm Goober prep/plan (which is difficult). Well he does not have the convince to assert a contingency plan. He is out numbered and out gunned.

Oh and I sooo look forward to meeting up with Goober (If I make it through). Such powerful teams, with array of strategies. Its hard to see the outcome or prepare against the opponent.

I honestly feel bad that Goober had to waste/reveal one of his clever strategies in a wash.

So is his plan banned or not? Evangel kinda left it vague

Looking back at how he manages himself in a tournament, and looking over his team. He has much versatility to adjust for every participant. I don’t think much was loss or shown in regards to Goober.

I believe divine intervention will not be handed. The judging or the rulings, are left for the judges to interpret. We being the judges, define what is permissible and what isn’t in our vote.

Meaning, it's basically up to everyone else. And you know what? Since the prep was not ruled out, that means everyone can vote how they choose.

Which explains everyone voting against me. Not because my prep failed, but because IT WORKS. You just don't want to face me. evillaugh

Like goober said, we'd have the Infinity Gauntlet next time we faced you if such idiocy were allowed. As it is, you're just acting like a child with your re-interpretation of everything, from the rules to our intentions and motivations. I personally can't believe you were allowed to judge in ill's tourney after this sophomoric display.

re-interpretation? She left the rules deliberately vague and didn't make the ruling openly. Just because I had the ambition and used prep time to it's full extent doesn't make it sophomoric.

you sir, are lowering yourself in my estimation.

is not the definition of prep to do whatever you can justify and to reach for the stars? I took the term prep literally, and there was no cap on what I could do during prep.

It was only vague for those who didn't bother to figure out what they meant, and assumed the best possible interpretation.

And I'm not lowering myself, I'm just sick of you acting like everyone else is at fault.

Tis the price of otherworldly ambition. It's a stretch, but everyone is bitching, because my prep is possible and it works. If it was complete BS, no one would care.

It isn't possible under the rules, and the only reason people are b*tching is because you're being whiny about it and acting like you're right when clearly you aren't.

Maybe others are grinding axes. But I read the very words from Evangel that refuted your strategy because I asked the exact same question WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO, rather than being a b*tch about it when it was declared illegal.

From PM:

Digi: If I create a piece of tech in the battle that can do a lot of different powers (matter manip, time manip, etc.) does it just go under tech, or am I banned from those additional powers unless I purchase them?

Evangel: Anything that allows you to manipulate time, time manipulation must be bought

umkm, yeah. after all this could we maybe NOT have trick judge our match in ill's tournament . . . 😐

Trick your problem is that you mistakenly believe that your strategy was particularly clever and it wasn't... at all. It wasn't as if you did anything new or original, all you did was pick a team that would allow you to copy a villains plan from a comic. ANYONE in this tourney could have came up with a strategy like yours, the reason they didn't is because they were either smart enough to check on it with Evangel first, or they were just flat out smart enough to know it wouldn't be allowed without having to ask.

In fact do you want to know just how unoriginal your plan really is? Check out this PM I sent to a certain someone when I was researching Metron and Waverider...

Hmmm... ok. You wouldn't happen to have a scan mentioning Waverider's body being made of energy do you?

BTW is there any way Trick's Metron/Waverider combo could be used to create the Warloog or anything like that?

And you know what's really sad? This person who's NEVER been in a tourney of any kind, seemed to understand the rules better than you do...

The Only way the worlogog could be reunited is if Metron utilized his Mobius Chair to gather each fragment throughout the multiverse, [Extant has done this once before].

But like I said,
It would be like allowing Surfer to gather all the infinity gems -- it simply wouldnt be allowed.

The reason I(and everyone else involved in the tourney) didn't just buy Surfer, Power Boosting, and Lv 3 Prep and then spend our prep time searching out pieces of the Ultimate Nullifier or Infinity Gems isn't that we didn't think about it(because that kind of thing flashes through EVERYONE'S mind at some point), it's that we knew that it wouldn't be allowed...
