After thinking about it, it actually has been done before. I've warned others in the first two tournaments I ran that if they didn't explain their votes even with a simple sentence, then I would nullify their vote. It's a a simple oversight power I've had in all tournaments. Not that shocking really.

That was the general idea...not make it more of a fight by naming anyone. Make an issue of it if you want, but my intention is, as always, to diffuse situations where a civil solution is preferable...not to make comments that get construed another way, then used to further the argument. Which one happens is generally coin flip in these things, but there's not much I can do but try.

Understood, but by doing so you really misrepresent the situation.
You make it sound as if the entire forum was screaming for blood over Evangel's joking comment rather than one or two instigators.

Sorry, no. Didn't mean to make that impression. The alternative is naming them specifically (Trick and Cresh in this instance?), which can also lead to problems if they didn't think their comments warranted anything being said.
I personally don't think Evangel's comment was serious, nor do I think that their objections to the comment were out of line, so I didn't want it to come off as a warning, since it's sometimes hard for me to differentiate between when I'm talking as a mod and just as a participant. So meh. But thanks for the heads-up....it's noted for future reference.
