MMT: Character Discussion(Banning/Trading/etc)

I'm with Akuki. This guy is too big a loophole.

The Aquarian's entropic field also neutralizes kinetic energy. His body's null-field is of opposite polarity to that of the fields of normal atomic matter. Hence his field nullifies kinetic energy in direct ratio to the inertia (resistance of object in motion to changes of motion) of the moving object. Only objects with kinetic energy below a certain as yet unmeasured value are permitted trough his field without any cancellation of inertia. The net effect of any object of greater inertia entering his null-field is that it loses its kinetic energy. Hence, a speeding bullet, a thrown knife, or a hurled punch is unable to strike him. Because this kinetic energy-canceling property affects him as well as other objects in his field, the Aquarian cannot move faster than his null-field will allow. Therefore, his ability to leap is useless. However, since he can negate gravity's influence on him, he can walk on air.

According to this, you can't even hit this guy. Banhammer him. 👇

I'll stick with Blair, actually. WW + Blink isn't a bad description, but for people with durability levels that can combat matter manip and top tier destruction, he won't be teleporting body parts away. Half the picks can phase, go invisible, merge with cities, have superspeed, etc. So it's not like there aren't ways to counter it. There's actually a lot. Whoever included Engineer in the description was a bit off too.

Though he has, in the past, transferred his consciousness a la Cyborg Supes, into other machinery. There should be a ban on that. Otherwise, I really think you guys are making too much of it.

When I included Engineer in the description I was referring to his ability to control hundreds of dupes, and to hack almost any computer system with ease.

Well, technopathy isn't banned I presume. And what are the limits on dupes anyway? Seems like there should be construct and duping limits, for a lot of obvious reasons.

And for what it's worth, I think Angie might be able to take Spartan in a heads-up fight. He's got more raw power, but she can match his versatility, duping, etc. and then some.

He cant dupe (not like Multiple Man or Engineer). He can transfer himself between other androids built for his "mind". For tourney purposes, how am I going to do that?

Yeah, I'll retain my opinion for Spartan. But since I'm not officially part of this, I'll stop for now.

Staying on the fence. I don't know the guy well enough to judge if he's over the caps. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

If he's as weak as Blair is saying, I have to wonder why he was placed in the High Herald tier to begin with. I have a feeling Blair's leaving something out, but I'll wait until I can find more conclusive evidence on him.

does anyone have a scan of a not upgraded bart breaking light speed under his own power?

how can phasing, superspeed or being invisible prevent you from beinmg teleported by a guy who is a supercomputer and can teleport people without even needing to be able to see them anyway? 😕

and who can withstand matter manip in this besides wonder woman? not that it would matter -- she could still be teleported away easily . . .

my concern is less with spartan (whom i don't know too much about but from eveything i've read SOUNDS over the caps) and more with the rule that teleporting bfr can count as a win.

I'm on the fence... I think there are scenarios where BFR should count as a win, and where it shouldn't, but this is just... he's got Blink+ teleportation.

I dunno. srug

Can someone give me an issue, or the whole scene where Spartan fights Majestic?

Nevermind...

Plus, he basically beat Majestic by himself...

Sure he fought others, but it's not like they really hurt him, and he disposed of them easily...

For anyone else interested...

Mr Majestic vs Spartan with Void

He takes on loads of Spartans and then takes on Spartan fused with Void.

Thats also an alternate future where everyone is possessed by Daemonites. 🙂

Actually,if memory serves, that was the SET future until Wildstorm restarted, via a time loop,so it would be canon.

Still the future. Future is fluid. Didnt comics teach you anything? 😛

Well, since WS never printed anything to clash with that future,we have to assume it was the definitive end 😛

Sorry guy's power nullification isn't banned therefore the primary reason for banning Aquarian is removed. Without that he just has a really good field.

So unless any better proof can be given I can not give my Judge vote to ban him.

If a character can get back, it doesn't count as a win. Also, BFR can't be used to kill someone, just remove them, so Blair presumably can't use teleportation to kill someone, since it would be a BFR-kill.

Picking an obvious banner in the last draft to get a to re-pick once everyone else 's teams are set? Pretty slimy if they aren't just doing it for the lulz. Perhaps I should draft Zoom and Power Ring from the Crime Syndicate for my amalgam tomorrow?

Cut it out, please.
