Hell, since the mood is generally kinda depressed on the comic forums right now because of goober's announcement, I'll suggest to gundam to take mental notes from my match with him (trying to find some silver lining here, since it's kind of a downer otherwise) if you're interested in gaining experience. I make no claims to greatness, but I hold my own in tourneys, and goober is clearly a good debater too. It was fairly "textbook" as tourney matches go, since we're both methodical in our debating styles. When people made suggestions along the lines of "less story, but more defense of your strategy," that's what they meant.
But with some research and a good game plan, there's no reason why you can't perform better very soon in tourneys.

oh, since i can't win the tourny, I think it would be a good idea to anyone that needs the win to utilize juggygems in some manner to your advantage *wink* (just sowing seeds 😈 )

I've also never lost otherwise, according to my count... unless you count Evangel's tournament where I withdrew mid match for a variety of reasons.

Most Unbeatable Strategy- uber strategies from amalgams or teams that steamrolled the competition despite the debating skills of their opponents

Given that criteria, Nataku vs. stormfront comes to mind in the herald amalgam....which will be hilarious to those that remember it. It was like a forum war, not an actual match.

Seriously though, Scoob's brilliant implementation of Hank Pym would likely win. He didn't even debate until the finals really. Before then it was basically "Haermm, he grows and stuf, so ya."

If anyone goes back and reads it, he died in that battle. Yes he won by the judges...but I opened a spot inside his body! Any movement would have teleported a body organ away....meh. No one reads things anymore 😛

Beyond that, the same rule changed neutered the one team possibly capable of dealing with you (despite Typhus' surprisingly admirable effort), so if it had remained in affect we don't know for sure that it wouldn't have needed tweaked.
