The Incredible Hulk

For every Spider-Man fan who thinks they could have done a better job, there's another true "fan" who'd hate that version.

People need to stop acting like they have the answers. No matter if they cast Conan O' Brian as Spider-Man, a six year hatred that runs as deep as Mr. Parker's does, is over the top. It's consuming his life.

I don't understand how he can rip on Spider-Man for six years due to it being, in his opinion, the biggest Hollywood sin, an abomination, an atrocity, cheesy, badly written, badly cast and badly imagined in every way. Then say he likes The Incredible Hulk show, Fantastic Four movie and the first two Superman movies.

All of which were horribly cheesy and in many cases, with special attention to F4, horribly written.

Agreed, except when it comes to Batman and Robin.

Fully justified in that case.

I didn't read Spider Man for quite some time, and yes, even if it was introduced into the comics, I enjoyed Peter making them himself. Running out of them every second panel. Etc. It's funny and makes the character cooler, imo, of course. No biggie though, I am not going to hate the character for it.

Same here...but I still can't make myself like the movie version. Every character have their weakness (Superman Kryptonite...Martian Manhutner fire....etc) and that's what makes them more appealing.

Fanboys on the other hand want the characters to be Uber gods and that's where the appeal loses...at least for me.

I disagree very much. A ridiculous "beat them all weakness" I find quite boring actually. Spider Man already has a weakness...he's not all powerful. He can be beat, he is quite limited. He doesn't actually need a weakness like "if he looks into the sun for two seconds his powers are gone for a week".

That's not a weakness. That puts him with other characters like Wolverine or Captain America....only difference is their powers. Power levels take a different route.

It is weakness in the actual sense of the word. It's not a gimmick to make an all powerful character a little less dull, true.

Captain America is essentially just a top notch athlete with a smart mind and every physical aspect to the human limit.

Putting him next to Spidey is an injustice, but then I dislike Captain America.

plus he was juiced.

Spider-Man's weakness is balancing his life while still being Spider-Man, best written weakness ever.

I disagree, it makes the character all the more human.

Spider-Man is like Batman to me in the sense that his graphic novels are some of the best, but I never really enjoyed the series.

Maximum Carnage ranks as one of my favourite arcs ever.

Yeah, for a time. But after a while he just seems like a whiny annoying **** that should get things straight.

What AC said is not wrong though. There's much potential in either character if well written. But the series just get boring.

I never suck up the idea that a geeky nerd like Peter Parker could get the hot babe (who hangs around with jocks) like Mary Jane Watson.

I related to Peter during his High School years...then it wear off on me. That was just me.

She was introduced to Peter on a date initially, they didn't meet through school and he didn't steal her away from jocks.

But yes.

Wouldn't that be more of a "But no."

Why, yes. Yes, it would.

So yea... can't wait for this movie to come out ermm

I didn't like the organic web idea either, BUT, to make it the sole focus of a hate campaign for the next 6 years is....a bit out of order.

Dude stop listening to the moronic ramblings of A.C because he cant get over a debate we had like 4 years ago. 🙄 Just because A.C tells you lies that organics are my sole hate for the films doesnt mean its true. 🙄 I have stated COUNTLESS of times it was MUCH more than organics that ruined the films for me.they were horribly written, they looked like the ideas of a 5 year old.Mcguire sucked as peter parker, they could have gotten ANYBODY better than him.I dont know WHY you guys give A.C the satisfaction of a thread about another comicbook movie, into a spiderman discussion all the time simply because he cant get over a debate that took place between the two of us four years ago and is STILL stuck on that issue. When I would much rather talk about more important stuff like whats going on in the world and how were screwed if ron paul doesnt get elected. 🙄

you 've seen yourself in the general discussion section how I am much more concerned about that issue than this lie that you swallowed from A.C. by reading the lies of what A.C sprouts off. have you all forgotten this is the HULK movie thread? apparently so,you have taken A.C.'S bait just like he wants you all to.have fun.
