On the ice was a routine skirmish, nothing unusual. The thing worth noting was a disturbance in the stands behind the Pens' bench. The announcers said that security was called and positioned between the Pens' bench and the fans.

Though the motive wasn't explained on-air, I'd guess it probably stemmed from a fan refusing to accept the fact that his team has no answer for the Penguin attack, and also believing that since a group of hockey players allowed seven goals, it somehow reflects on him negatively as a human being.

Ah, the announcers made it sound alot worst.

Considering I'm writing this from Ottawa, I know what you mean about the fans.

Funny story.

Three years ago, the Sens made it to the Stanley Cup finals (or was it 4 years). They did a pep rally in front of the arean and thousands of people showed up. It was huge. Every win, people would drive down the streets honking horns and stuff.

A year after that, they made the playoffs again and the team hosted another rally. Only a few hundred showed up. Why? Because the team wasn't as good as the year before. They bandwagon here. All the time. It's annoying.

Unlike Leaf fans, who are diehard hockey fans, the Sens fans will not show up unless the situation is perfect.

What did Ruutu do?

you mean his double minor?
i think it was a roughing call

Flyers w00t

Man, what a game last night. It just sucks that Ottawa had to be the one to get the game-winning goal. Stayed up extra late for that one and I'm paying the price this morning.

I had a feeling the Sens would win.

The Pens didn't seem to have the complete drive to win last night after seeing the 7-4 game.

They will win tomorow though.

it was kinda funny when the ref waved off Kunie's goal
the look on his face seemed like he was thinkin, "Is Chris Kunitz gonna have to choke a ref? D:<" 😂
but yeah, i am pissed that we lost at home
here's hopin we do better on the road

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

When Ottawa went up (at the time) 4-1 before it was waived off, I immediately started checking the TV listings for Game 7. Thanks Pens and especially Dupuis, for restoring my optimism.

OMG 1 more Candiens, 1 more! Even though it's basically pick your poison for the Flyers/stuck with Penguins or Caps regardless.

Dude, Canadians, not Candians.

It was a typo dude, haha. But it's the Montreal Canadiens, with an e, not an a, like actual Canadians.

Also I was wrong the Flyers will play the Bruins if the Canadiens win, so let's hope.

Hahahah.

That's strange, I never noticed that about the Canadiens. Bloody French.

Wow, Caps lost. That's too bad. I was looking forward to pens playing the caps at some point.

Now the pens are just gonna rape the Canadiens in 4 or 5 games, much less interesting.

I don't know. The Pens are not as good as last year and Montreal can just as scrappy as the Sens.

So I'm expecting a longer series. But the Habs might have nothing left and it all depends on how hot the goalie can continue to be.

The habs played like shit last 2 games, only reason they won is cuz of Halak. They're not going to be able to continue doing that; playing like crap and just hoping their goalie stays super human. Can't do that two series in a row.

Plus the caps powerplay was horrendous. And it wasn't really because the Habs were great on the penalty kill, the caps just didn't have it on the power play, they weren't playing smart.

True. I guess we will see.

What are the chances the Sharks will win it all? Small chance?

Congrats to the Habs. Now the Cap fans can put their limited hockey knowledge and Puck-Hog worship on hold and return their focus to yelling and honking at the car next to them in rush hour traffic.
