After the 8 minute mark last night, I'll be damned if 2 Penguin passes made it to their intended destinations. That was some serious defense by the Sens, and aside from the Adams goal, they had no other breakdowns that I could remember. Whenever the puck came back center near the blue line, a Sen was there to scoop it up every time.
The Pens' defensive "scheme" (and I use that word loosely), resembled the Mighty Ducks attack. And I'm talking the Disney movie. Fleury looked like he was playing on tar, not ice.
And what the hell was up with the Pens' 2nd PP and the PP at the end of the 2nd period????? They were moving at half-speed (more like quarter-speed) and got 1 shot on goal. The crowd booed the PP at the end of the 2nd. Good! That was outright pathetic!!!! If you're going to pussyfoot around a puck-hungry defense that is just waiting for one of your 18 passes to go awry, well guess what, odds are they're going to get it before you shoot.
On a positive note, I was glad to hear Mellon Arena playing "Madhouse" by Anthrax!
