Thor Vs Wonder Woman (Fist Fight)

OK. I HAVE TO DISPELL SOME MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT WONDER WOMAN.

SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT SHE IS NOT THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD.
WONDER WOMAN WAS BORN THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO TO HIPOLYTA. SHE AND SUPERMAN BOTH ARE THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD FROM FIGHTING WITH DC'S THOR IN HELL OR SOMETHING.

PEOPLE ALSO SEEM TO THINK THAT WONDER WOMAN ISN'T AS SKILLED AS THOR. GEEZ. LIKE WONDER WOMAN ACTUALLY HAS SKILL FEATS. THOR FIGHTS LIKE A BRUISER.

WONDER WOMAN DOES FIGHT AND MOVE AT FTL SUPER SPEEDS. I MEAN HOW ELSE DID SHE EVEN KEEP UP WITH THE LIKES OF ZOOM, FLASH, SUPERMAN IN COMBAT, ETC?

WONDER WOMAN CLEARLY IS AT THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN WITH OTHER PEOPLE LIKE SUPERMAN WHEN IT COMES TO BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA. SHE'S TAKEN SHOTS TO THE DOME FROM SUN AMPED CRAZY SUPERMAN, SUPERBOY PRIME, DARKSIED, OBLIVION, ZOOM, ARES, ZEUS, AND MORE.

IN A HAND TO HAND FIGHT BETWEEN OLD THOR AND WONDER WOMAN, SHE WOULD WIN. SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE HAS ACTUAL SKILL FEATS AND SHE'S GOT BETTER REFLEXES AND BETTER SPEED. EVEN IF SHE DIDN'T HAVE HER BRACELETS, WE KNOW THAT SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO BLOCK MOST IF NOT ALL OF THOR'S PUNCHES.

THEN LET'S NOR FORGET THAT WW HEALS FASTER THAN THOR AND HAS THE ABILITY TO HEAL EVEN FASTER IF SHE WISHES. SHE COULD ALSO JUST PUNCH THOR WITH HER SLEEP TOUCH AND WIN.

THOR IS COOLER, WONDER WOMAN IS BETTER.

I think the Midgard Serpent feat proves classic Thor is stronger. Odinforce Thor? No contest. I'd have a tough time comparing Thor's and Wonder Woman's durability. Only that classic Thor's taken shots from foes who are clearly capable of planet busting punches while Wonder Woman has not. Also, Odinforce Thor took a full-on point-blank Destroyer blast. I understand that's not blunt force durability, but I don't quite see the distinction you're making.

And I'd like to lay this debate of Wonder Woman's age to rest: Wonder Woman was named after Diana Trevor according to Perez's reboot after the original 'Crisis on Infinite Earths.' Diana Trevor was a World War II pilot who crash-landed and helped save Themiscyra from danger. Hippolyta named Wonder Woman after her when she created her from clay. So Wonder Woman's birth can be no older than World War II. Wonder Woman is not thousands of years old. That was 70's TV Wonder Woman. And if you believe Thor #80's on-panel depictions during the most recent 'Ragnarok' storyline, the forging of Mjolnir by the dwarves actually caused the extinction of the dinosaurs on Earth. So arguably, the Asgardians are millions of years old.

However, I won't argue that point. Because we all concretely know that classic Thor's been running around battling evil for centuries upon centuries on Earth, the same way the Greek pantheon has been gallavanting on Earth for ages. Several of Thor's historical adventures have been depicted on-panel as well. I vividly remember his battle against Marvel's very first chronological vampire, Varnae, in 1000 AD (Marvel Comics Presents #64).

I'll give credit where it's due. It really does seem like she's in the same park. 😆

How does one vibrate invisible and undetectable without superspeed though?

Show me where she vibrates invisible and undetectable on-panel and I'll respond.

Please stop using the Midgard serpent example. It is not reflective of THor's power...it was an exception. It was written at a time when comics were much more hyperbolic than today....so today's Thor (without odinforce) could not do that.

you are wrong on many accounts. let's begin shall we.

Diana was punched by oblivion, the queen of dragon, and sun amped superman. so saying she hasn't taken punches from being who could smash planets is wrong.

wonder woman and superman are both thousands of years old. both lived in the wrealm of thor for thousands of years fighting. also wonder woman was the very first child of the very first woman killed by a man in domestic violence in the cave man days. her soul was retreaved by the amazons some time later. she was named after the GODDESS diana. that steve trevor thing was retconned out.

it's out right stated in death of the new gods. and the infinity man conceded this by using an energy field to trap superman, lest he be felled by the planet shattering punches. and we know that hte im was uber durable. he and orion detroyed a star system in thier battle.

Sun amped Superman never threw a punch and busted a planet on-panel as far as I know. I remember Superman flying through one of Saturn's moons with his acceleration. But I don't quite equate that to when Gladiator stood next to a planet and broke it apart with punches or Beta Ray Bill standing on a planet's surface and breaking a planet apart with a single Stormbreaker swing. Nevertheless, my intuition leads me to believe that Superman could punch a planet apart. But he hasn't done so as far as I know. If you want to show me some scans or make references of Wonder Woman's foes doing so, by all means, please post em.

When did this foray into Asgard exactly happen chronologically and in what issues? I think you miscontrue Wonder Woman's origins. Hippolyta was indeed the reincarnation of the very first woman to be murdered. And she was pregnant at the time. Wonder Woman's soul was indeed drawn from Hippolyta's unborn child at the time she was murdered. However... Wonder Woman only came into existence after Hippolyta was allowed by the Greek gods to sculpt her out of clay. And right after she was sculpted, Hippolyta named her Diana after Diana Trevor. Steve Trevor's original involvement has indeed been retconned out. But Diana Trevor has never been retconned out. Diana Trevor was what was retconned in after 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' and she is actually Steve Trevor's mother in current continuity. Wonder Woman's colors and heraldry are derived from the US flag from Diana Trevor's plane's remains. And Diana Trevor was a pilot who crashlanded during World War II. Therefore, Wonder Woman could never have been sculpted and born until then, regardless of how old her soul was. She never came into physical existence until she was sculpted.
