Jean Grey w/ Phoenix Force vs Ion

If you want to argue that machine would kill both Rachael and Phoenix. They do not find out, until later after Death, Roma, and the Watchers intermission. That would make more sense, wouldn’t you think?

But her comment, is strictly directed towards Rachael. And Nova only knows of the circumstances of the machine from the explanation given by Galactus. To the point that, she even mocks Rachael (still addressing her as Phoenix), as being left discorporate (IRRC) when its all said and done.

Lastly, even If I was to agree that both would die, it does not really perm kill the Phoenix Force. Since we know what happens when the host and the phoenix dies. (goes back into the WHR, heals and return).

I have stated from the very beginning,
it was indeed Galactus' intention to ONLY separate the Force from Rachel,
but as we agree, he later learned that was impossible from Roma/Death/Uatu.

The reason being, at the time, Rachel and the Phoenix Force were one and the same.

The Force is known to resurrect I agree.

But I do know this,
the Watcher and Death made it seem as though these effects were everlasting:

"Is that your wish Galactus?

Death of course is happy about this, Death goes on ruling her realm,
so she invites Galactus to stay with her,
which also signifies that normal life is over in the Universe.

But Galactus prefers the natural order of things, he is essential to the Universe,
as is Phoenix and now he knows it,
so lets Phoenix live:

We shouldn't be surprised by Phoenix's connection to normal life,
there are certain characters that maintain the natural order of things with their existence,
the Phoenix Force and obviously the rest of the Abstracts,
and including Galactus himself all play a role.

Even Captain Universe is vital to All Life in the Universe:

If Captain Universe dies, all Life in the Universe dies!

We have not seen, the full effect of this consequence since we know that Phoenix does more then just power of the stars. So I would not say, “Look the Phoenix goes, the universe goes”. Simply because I have not found such evidence.

I have nothing more to add, in regards Phoenix, its chores, and it’s death.
