Predators

yea the twist was ghey. i saw it and thought, "oh. he's a serial killer instead of a doctor." and that's as far as my exclaimation went with the revelation. i was more concerned about that last predator.

the film would've been fine without the twist. and tropher. the film may've been better without the two, probably.

enough with tropher being a bad guy. spiderman 3 was enough.

looking foward to "Predators 2: Escape to Earth"

He could have actually been a doctor too.

didn't he say something about lying about being a doctor or something like that, when he revealed who he really was. i forget.

but even still wouldn't have cared for the character as much because he seemed more like an unnecessary appendage, a burden, more than a factor both in the movie as the character in the story and as tropher cast member.

Watched it tonight...Liked it but thought the fact that it was rated a 15 meant they skipped a lot of potential brutal kills...Although Walton Goggins' character (the prisoner) had a good death what with his spine and skull geting ripped out from the bottom up.

Good tense moments though...I liked when the African guy was staring up at the predator in the trees and he could just make it out. Also liked the reference to the 1st movie although I thought they were going to make the woman be from the village from the original movie and that's how she knew about it rather than the line they did take.

Was there anything after the credits because the scene from the trailer with the 3 red dots appearing all over Adrian Brodie's character wasn't in the main film.

thought it would be better. There wasn't really any extreme deaths that I was hoping for. Same old Predator kills ya know? I was hoping Rodriguez was going to up the ante.

^ That scene was in it, but there was only 1 laser on him. I think they just digitally added a bunch of lazer sites on him for the commercial. Oh, and there was nothing after the credits.

I don't know what people are whining about either with the honor code?
i don't think the super preds had any code besides maybe not killing someone who is not armed like Topher grace was in the tunnel.
but when i came to fishburne if that had been a regular pred he would of wanted the trophy but the supers don't give a shit. that is why the plasma caster was always going off.

I think another thing to keep in mind is that these predators know they are up against Earth's best warriors/killers. It's not like they are hunting unarmed civilians. Heck, even in the end of the original Predator the predator goes after Arnold when he is unarmed.

Wasn't a very similar scene in the original too, with Billy (the American Indian) looking into the trees knowing something was there, but not truly seeing it? Been a while since I've watched it.

There was another scene like the first one - When the Yakuza pulls out his blade to stand up against the predator was just like Billy the indian pulling his knife. To let the skinny guy, main guy, and girl get away.

Royce's loud and gruff "Run!" when the predators revealed themselves at the camp reminded my of arnold when he said that in predator.

and the part where the russian was introduced blazing the forest up trying to kill royce and the chick reminded me of the black bald dude in the original and how he lit the forest up crazily trying to hit an invisible predator.

Thats right. Also referenced agin with the Yakuza guy staying behind and fighting to the death in a melee face off.

I just saw it and loved it.

WAY more like it in the modern sequel dept.

If only this crew had done Nightmare on Elm Street......

Thought the deaths were great, the script and acting were top notch, (although Brody's put on tough guy voice annoyed me in the same way that Bale's Batman voice does in BB/TDK.)

Loved the Silvestri scoring and the getting back to the original storyline.

Predator 2 was playing on G4 yesterday.

Man, that movie sucked... I thought it was good.. but it really wasn't. At all.

agreed

I like the last half hour of Predator 2. First half hour is painful, and the middle is "eh."

Yeah, Rodriguez should just helm the Predator franchise from now on.

"Predator 2" is the "Robocop 3" of the franchise.

Well, he didnt Direct it but at least it had the necessary violence that the AvP movies lacked

Nah AVPs 1 & 2 already took THAT title.

Predator 2 is more like the Robocop2 of the franchise..

Robocop 2 was just weird.

Nuuuuuke

Predator 2 was a good movie IMO
if predator is a 10 then predator 2 is a 8 and predators is a 7

ha.

maybe so to you if you wanna add the avp movies but i meant just the predator only movies with "predators" being the robocop 2 of the trilogy (especially when compared to predator 1), imo.
