Indeed JLA / Avengers is canon

Marvel Fanboys read it and come up with your spurios excuses before weeping and realising - Supes Wins 😆

Keep the faith 🙂

I don't particularly understand why so many people have seen this as being an end-all be-all... And I'm very surprised by how many people continue to believe this is canon.

First off, DC follows up on the outcome of the JLA/Avengers crossover. Marvel doesn't. Hmm... what other companies have done something like this... oh... Image.

I mean... who gave Spawn his shoelace face for the rest of the damn series? Batman apparently. But does anybody think Spawn exists in Batman DC continuity? What about a crossover that both companies canonized? How about Marvel and Malibu? After all, that crossover had a lot to do with what ended up happening to the Infinity Gems. So what does that say when one company decides to keep existing ramifications and the other doesn't? Well... from sparse examples, unless both companies decide to canonize it, its just not binding canon on both companies. There's my argument. It also appears to me an indication that one writer was so starved for a good story that he had to piggyback on an intercompany crossover to come up with his next DC storyline. I'll forgive him though, because Avengers Forever is one amazing piece of work.

I now wonder who wins this fight, before, I thought Supez would win...... But somthing tells me I;m wrong !!!

But still........... X-Overs are like cow-shit in these forums !!!

Thor can stop time.
Thor can manipulate organic matter.
Thor can control reality to a small extent.

You guys are really selling Thor short here.

Thor could put up a force field, stop time and blast Superman to hell.

End.

Thor 6/10

Speedblitz here, Speedblitz there, Speedblitz yesterday, tomorrow, and ever.
Lobo, who hasn't got superman's speed, can counter it with his REFLEXES AND REACTION TIME.
ADAM WARLOCK, READ WITH ME, ADAM WARLOCK, stated that Thor is at lest fast as the lightning he commands.
Speed of the lightning is sufficient to counter Superman's speed, especially cause on Earth he can't reach speeds above Mach 10/15 and so.
About those who speaks about the magical lightning:
Mjolnir's power source, is mystical/cosmical energy.Channeled through it to perform feats like blast of force, or magical lightning, not natural lightning.Marvel takes his lightning from Zeus.Has he got the full power of Zeus lightning or a portion of it?
Thor's magical lightning comes from a limitless source, so saying that CM lightnings outclass those of Thor's by far is wrong.

If thor goes toe-to-toe with big blue he gets his ass sat down, but if he becomes the
T-Money version then he dominates no matter what.

"ADAM WARLOCK, READ WITH ME, ADAM WARLOCK, stated that Thor is at lest fast as the lightning he commands.

Yeah its not like Thor -ever- uses any kind of speed at all.

"Marvel takes his lightning from Zeus.Has he got the full power of Zeus lightning or a portion of it?"

Portion. Like the other patrons.

Good shot olympian. Most supesboy doesn't understand Thor is almost always portrayed as a brawler thank to his warrior nature that into a speedster with superstrenght.

No problem.

I actually find it ironic that he was moving here faster than Superman and Doomsday in theyr first fight.

Patronage RULEZZ !!!

Good post, points well made, except one flaw 🙂. Both companies recognise it my friend, one in continuity and the other in its official handbook of continuity, putting it in "continuity". Thats the big difference from the examples you cited 🙂

Meaning Supes won 🙂

hey wait a sec i have this book entilted marvel universe where it states the crossover marvel and dc had the fan vote one. yep it states it just like but better just likr the jla/avengers crossover was stated in the avengers handbook. and right now i can't be bothered to scan it 2 reasons.

1.the book is very large and big perhaps even bigger than my scanner.

2. just lazy i might scan it on friday

but marvel or dc for that matter hasn't really formally stated that the jla crossover was continuity.

i got this conspiracy that dc had the whole jla/avengers "conan"thing planned for thier egg arc. and thst they new hulk would slap supes so they didn't have in properly featured in it or have him go up ainst hulk when he saw him 😛

Bullseye, Whirly.

As always.

🙂

Byrnes Superman vs Jurgens Thor (Before King Thor) ????????

I think Byrnes Superman takes it 🙂

well ok (haven't checked the site pc's acting sloooooooowwwww) but i always knew marvel/dc crossover was fan voted and therfore could not be canon untill i read marvel universe. whatever is on that a link right or wrong i guess i' ll go with what you stated.

Fair enouh mate 🙂

I forgot where I first read this, but for me, it sums it all up.
In the DC universe, when things get really tough, even other heroes will say, "This is a job for Superman."
No Marvel hero has ever said, "This is a job for Thor."

Everyone in DC see's Superman as the ultimate, even the Gods hold him in highest regard. He's a man that stared down death multiple times, litterally, different aspects of death and even influences the decisions of gods just by standing in their way. He influences the fate of the entire DC Earth just by being on it. The Linear Men held Superman before the Quintessence on trial to judge him for his massive influence over reality as a whole clear down the timestream.
